This team is better when Murton starts.

CUBS are 17-23 when Murton starts.... 49-39 when he doesn't.

Go CUBS !!

Stats don't lie. Last night was an illusion. Murton is not an MLB-caliber outfielder, and should not be doing anything more than pinch-hitting for this team.

Yea of course like when he was in yesterday and they lost

LOL, he had three hits. Enjoy having no idea what you're talking about.

I kno he did.But how was the team better that he was in the lineup? They still lost.I just like giving the Murton nuthuggers a hard time since they think he's the second coming of Billy Williams

I haven't seen one person predict that Murton will be anything more than a cheap and productive starter.

Is there a DL rule or something from precluding AS pinch-hitting in the game today, if we encounter a situation that would warrant him getting an AB??

He must officially be activated before the game; he was not.

He's on the DL until tomorrow I thought.

Grace and whoever the other DBacks announcer is are brutal. Grace is just hanging out, but the play by play guy is on par with the Brewers TV guys.

Atrocious.

That's why they need to bring Gracie over to replace Brenly.

Grace is brutal as well. He brings nothing to the table as an analyst except a few colorful stories every now and then.

The players make up the team. Just because past teams have failed doesn't mean this unit will too. Yeah talent wise they don't look too good compared to other teams but that doesn't mean they are going to fail because they are the "Cobs".

You haven't been around this team long, have you?

Since 2002. Most of the current Cubs haven't been around that long either.

The only point I had is that it's very annoying to see someone make sure everyone knows how optimistic they are during every single game no matter what's happening. You can say bad things about the Cubs, they won't hate you.

I'm optimistic but not as much as you think. Kinda funny how this whole issue started with me simply saying...lol you guys are funny.

Because it's a running posting theme with you and it can't help but often come across as being very mocking of people here.

Thank you San Francisco - they lead 5-4.

The only thing keeping the Cubs in first right now is the utter collapse of the Brewers.

Of course, the only thing keeping the Brewers and Cards in striking distance is the Cubs' crappy play.

Ok, so if SF can hold on... and we get out of this inning where the score is at... we can do this in the 4 innings we have left... CMON COBS!!!!!!!

(Way to go with the D, Lee!!)

when's the last time the cubs took a series from the dbacks?

Honestly? I don't recall one.

Early August 2003.

The only reason I remember is because that series had that game that schilling pitched that went into extras, and Troy Oleary drove in Aramis Ramirez to end it. That game was delayed like 2 or 3 hours by rain, too.

Beautiful play. Marquis settled down there with a nice, quick inning.

Very good point and I can understand how it could be bothersome. If I'm offending anyone, I apologize.

Troy O'Leary? Boy, there's a crappy name I haven't had to think about in while.
