Pat just yelled: "DAMMIT" hahahahahahaha

HAHHHAH I am watcing len and bob so i didn't catch it... did he not know he was on the air?

I'm not sure he was on the air, Gameday audio doesn't air commercials so you can hear everything going on b/n innings.

Right, only gameday audio listeners could hear it.

Wow. This is gonna be called.

I hate Pujols, Ankiel, Ryan, LaRussa, Edmonds, Rolen, Encarnacion... the last goes on.

I don't hate Rolen. Always thought he was a pretty good guy. Those other guys can go to hell though.

Pujols is about as good of a guy that you'll meet... still hate him.

I ahve actually heard the opposite. The media tried to make him out to be one, but he really isn't.

Wrong, I talked with him for about 5 minutes on opening day 2006 at Wrigley. He was extremely nice and signed autographs for about 15 minutes.

What so in five minutes you could make that decision? I know he has done nothing but be an ass the last few years in the media. Like crying about Howard winning the MVP last year because he didn't make the playoffs. No you are right Albert he had to play in a real division. Or when asked about his ex teammate Marquis pitching well against him, he threw Marquis under the bus and said he wasn't all that good. The guy is a jerk.

In 5 minutes he spent talking to me personally when most major league players won't give you the time of day especially at a visiting park (except David Weathers, he is a load of fun always).

Yeah that really isn't true either. I go to games all the time in Kansas City and most players will talk to you. Justin Verlander signed for me this year and talked with me about his no hitter. Barry Zito signed for me and joked with me for a good 5 minutes about the Cubs being my favorite team. He even brought over Haren and Haren said that he was a Cub fan now that the Cardinals gave up on him.

Well what else is there to do in KC?

Go to the plaza. All the Yankees do.

That's game over, alot of rain headed that direction. This game will be called. Cardinals win :(

Except if it gets called at this point it's a suspended game. With the Cubs losing the full inning would have to be completed for it to be a final.

That's not true. The Cardinals had the lead at the end of 6, and the Cardinals have the lead now. If the game is called, the game is over with the Cardinals winning 5-4 in 6 innings.

I'm definitely not liking that rule. If the home team is losing they should get the same # of at-bats as the visiting team received.

Why? It doesn't matter, they revert back to the last completed inning.

and we did. that's why they revert to the end of the 6th.

I'm not talking about reverting back. The Cards got to bat in the top of the seventh so the Cubs should get to bat in the bottom of the inning.

And I'm not just saying this because it would benefit the Cubs. The reverting back rule is lame.

What are you guys basing the "Ankiel cocaine" jokes on? I've never once heard that he had cocaine problems?

Are you confusing him with Hamilton?

I know Rick's father had problems with drugs, but I've never heard about Ankiel himself having drug problems.

^^

Bump?

I asked this question in this thread and got the following response:

It's an open secret Ankiel enjoyed the stuff. I'm not sure if it was a huge problem.

I'm gonna be at the game on Saturday

Never heard about that before; thanks, soccer.

What does "FWANK" mean? Are you insinuating that the cocaine thing is just an inside joke or something?

I'm pretty sure a Cardinal fan isn't going to say a player on his own team of doing something if he didn't actually believe it. If you want to find out how CFICT knows, ask a question in that thread or send him a PM. But there is no reason not to believe him.

The radar shows that wrigley is right on the northern tip of the storm. They will get this game in.
I hope so. Saturday they waited just over an hour instead of calling the game in the 8th with the Cubs winning. They need to let this one play out as well.

So what? That's a weather forecast for all evening.

Look at Alfonso Soriano's animated radar link, that shows the story.

Plus didn't they wait almost 2 hours yesterday before officially calling the game?
