Why would they get rid of Hill now when they can wait 11 days and have both on the roster?

 

If they wanted Hill gone, they would have been rid of him weeks ago and just brought Soto up.

Blanco has to be on the roster before Sept. 1st to be eligible for the playoff roster. Plus, Hill has been pretty pathetic and was just wasting a roster spot. I'm guessing we'll see Soto finally get the callup once Sept. 1st hits. It's anyone's guess why Soto hasn't been called up already.
