I would actually prefer to get into a two team race with the cardinals. They have a much more difficult September than either us or Milwaukee, have no pitching staff, and we get to play them more.

 

We're going to win the division, guys. We may not be a great team, but in the NL Central, we have enough to make it to the playoffs where we can hopefully get hot.

Every team gets hot at least once during the season. This is just the Cardinals turn to get hot. A month ago the Cubs were the team that was going to win the division because they were hot.

 

People need to quit worrying and wait till early september to start worrying. Anyone that is within 6 games at that time has a chance.

I'm not sure how that would be proof the Cubs will never win. It's not like this is some great Cubs team that STL is magically going to outpace. The Cubs are a little better, but they are mediocre.
