I'd just be worried that Hendry would trade away what's left of our farm system trying to salvage the season. Maybe that's why he's adding so many players to the 40 man, so he won't be tempted to try and trade them.

Is Lenny Harris still out there somewhere?

No, he's busy being the hitting coach for the nationals.

Seriously.

Whatever the reports are out there, the original statement (IMO) still stands...

Oh crap!

That's what your statement says. But we all know what you are thinking is a tad more.....eh, shall we say, edgy 8-)

HR leader at a lousy 18 goes on DL - CHECK

new HR leader at a lousy 16 goes on DL - pending

So is this Hendry's punishment for getting a pitching staff that wasn't aa susceptible to injuries as in the past 3 years?

Next year he'll pile in non-injury-prone hitters and we'll somehow have the coaching staff start going down with injuries.

I'm not sure this is a bad thing.

So more would be out about this if it was real.... right?... please?

I find it hard to believe such damning medical results would be out so quickly.

ok, if this is true...i really might cry

this year would be the same as you just putting your mouth around your absolute most favorite food in the whole wide world...salivating profusely...only to have your arch nemesis snatch it away from you just before you can close your lips...

yeah...i am going to cry

Anyone hearing anything yet?

Some guy on the cubs.com board is saying that Ramirez had a shot in the wrist, and should be avaliable on Monday.

He has 9000+ posts so I don't know if he's reliable or not.

I don't think it's all that reliable, but that is a lot more likely then suddenly having a tear without re-injuring it (aggravating it, sure. From all we've heard though, it just continued to get more sore with him playing, and there was no re-injury point). It will probably continue to be there the rest of the year, but I find it hard to believe that Ramirez will miss more than a week or two with it, and probably less than that.

Dear lord, who thought of hiring him as a hitting coach?

And why was he pinch hitting so often? Because he wasn't good enough to be a starter.

Probably. When I first read your post I thought it said that Aram was shot in the wrist. I was very scared for a second before realizing I had missed the word "a."
