I can't recall ever seeing such a powerless lineup. We're 112 games into the season and we have a lineup with 37 combined homers. That's astounding. It's like early 1900's deadball era stuff.

I knew it was a mistake to get emotionally involved with this team again.......... same as always, just when you start to really care/get optimistic... they pull the rug right out from under ya!

Chill out. They're .5 game out of first. They're not even losing this game. Yes they're in a funk, but it won't take much to get back in first. Relax.

As confident as I was that the Cubs would strand a leadoff double, I'm even more confident the Stros will capitalize on their's.

Perfect, following the script perfectly.

 

We get a runner to 3rd, with less than 2 outs, fail to score. Now Astros will score at least 1 right after.

We're only .5 games out because we got lucky and the Rockies got hot.

 

If we win this game we're tied. That's all that matters, lucky or not.

 

Which is true... but we play the Rockies next.
