Well, I did get the answer to - What'll happen first a Cub hitting a HR or a Cub catcher throwing out a baserunner?

So, another question - What'll happen first tonight Derek Lee swinging the bat or a Cub catcher throwing out a baserunner?

tough one. Oswalt isnt going to rocked as badly as last time.

Agreed. Not just because we're hitting like crap at the moment, but Oswalt (like Wandy) has been a far superior pitcher at home than on the road-

Home: 2.30 ERA, 79/25 K:BB, .632 OPSa

Away: 5.52 ERA, 40/23 K:BB, .843 OPSa

Got one of 'those' feelings that we'll be lucky to plate 2 this evening.

So far the Cubs have royalled screwed up my trip. Stop, immediately and send me home on a happy note.

Vance, would it be too much of an imposition to ask you to skip the game and go to Treasures instead?

You're bad ju-ju, man.

Well, I was 1-1 in Atlanta to start the year and then hit a skid in Chicago going 0-3. In Texas, I was 1-2, 1-1 in St. Louis this year. So far 0-2 in Houston.

I surely hope it's not me though.

Yeah...I was thinking this last night...what the hell is up with Lee just watching pitches go by? Last night in several at bats he looked like a little league kid who's afraid to hit and is just hoping for a walk

Watching Eric Patterson hurts. He has the exact same mannerisms as Corey at the plate (tucks bat under shoulder and fixes batting gloves after each pitch; stares back at the pitcher in disbelief after a strikeout).

I can't take it!

Is it me or has he done this quite a few times this year?

Well, who can blame him? He was just trying to get on base for the unstoppable force that is Cliff Floyd.

In order to enhance the Cubs chances of making the playoffs, I believe Felix Pie must be the everyday CF. Its not because I'm assuming he'll out hit Jones but, its because of the facts that he's the superior defensive player and base runner. In no way shape or form will Jones offer anything helpful at least, with Pie, there's a good chance he'll keep a run or two from scoring.

Call him up and put him lineup tonight!!!!!
