Same here..I was like ok hes a young guy who could be a MArk Grace type hitting alot of doubles and singles and get on base.Good but after hearing about him daily,like how hes supposed to become some power hitting stud whos going to bat .350 People are going freaking crazy just because he's young and cheap..whoope..I wish we never got him so I didnt have t see the Murton Lovefest on a daily basis..If he is that good,he would be starting.Look what Fontenot and Theriot proved.Theyre starting everyday pretty much now.

If Matt Murton only knew how many people on this board would love to oil him up and suck on his toes.

I actually used to really like Murton but having to read about him daily is making me really dislike the dude.

Seriously, this is completely backwards and, frankly, a trite argument. Murton IS good. He proved it last year. This season, for whatever reason, Lou's never given him a real shot.

Of the non-injured outfielders prior to Pie's recall, Murton is the youngest (3 months younger than Pagan), has the most upside, and is the likeliest to post solid numbers.

The majority of people pining for Murton are merely pointing out that he's a better player than Cliff Floyd, which seems pretty obvious to me. Yet people have to phrase the argument as us saying Murton is an MVP. NOBODY IS SAYING THAT. We just want somebody who isn't an arthritic piece of crap v. 2.0 playing everyday.
