FWIW, it was worth being called out by Modzilla to tell Keener what I thought of him

FWIW, your opinion of me is worthless, like 99% of the posts you make on here

"CUBS score 4.67 R/G overall.... 3.00 R/G when Hill pitches

"

This says a lot.

Score some for Hill, plz.

I think it says guys don't like playing behind Rich. He is slow, throws lots of pitches and really doesn't get the defense involved (Lots of K's and flyballs).

Whoa whoa whoa

I'm not saying anything like that, I'm just saying it might affect Rich a little pyschologically. He plays his heart out and the bats never seem to pay him any favors.

I know what you're saying. And I'm saying that maybe if he pitched a little faster (lower pitch counts, quicker innings) that the bats might pick him up more often.

I'm saying that's crazy talk.

Oh really? Have you eve played baseball before?

Go ask a fielder how much they hate playing behind a Steve Trachsel type, then get back to me.

Here's the thing...if all we went by was personal experience we'd be confused about a lot of things. For example, it seems like everytime I'm frustrated with traffic, Nickleback starts playing on the radio to add to my frustration. If I just went with my personal experience, I would believe there was a connection between my frustration and Nickleback being played on the radio (for the record, I don't have any fancy XM stuff or do I have a cd player for my vehicle, so I'm stuck with FM radio). However, if I were to look at the broadcast schedule for the radio station, I would see the the playlist was planned ahead of time and they play Nickleback every 5 minutes, so I am bound to hear Nickleback at a frequent rate when I am frustrated. The times I hear Nickleback while already frustrated stick out in my mind due to the excessive levels of frustration they cause at that time.

...The moral of my story is this: You can't make arguments based only on personal experience.

Are you in the Chicagoland area? If so, just stick to 97.1 and occasionally 97.9 and 94.7

When 97.9 started playing Nickelback I knew my years on this Earth were numbered.

So when is Kyuji Fujikawa going to get posted?

not any time soon. i believe its four more years after this until nine in his career. he is, however, the best closer on the planet you know.

Are there any good sites that you could provide that cover Japanese baseball?

I used to use a site off of geocities to figure out EqA and other stats in Japan, but that sites gone so I am going to have to use something else at the end of the year. I have a pretty good working knowledge of Japanese and follow most of it from yahoo's japanese site. sometimes other japanese sites.

Fujikawa is unreal

2005 1.36 ERA, 92.2 IP, 139:20 K:BB, 57 H

2006 0.68 ERA, 79.1 IP, 122:22 K:BB, 46 H

2007 0.70 ERA, 50.1 IP, 73:12 K:BB, 26 H

He did, but I'm not sure how the amount of games played works in Japan. All I know is that it's a lot more strict here -- to the point where some guys think about coming over midseason, Michihiro Ogasawara comes to mind there, although he never really considered it.

I don't have the numbers in front of me, but it seems to me that the Cubs usually play pretty well when Ramirez has a day off.

Where's Fred?
