I'll give recap...

Says players, coaches and fans weren't on the same page in April. Took a growing period to learn about each other.

Derosa told DLee that he still hasn't found out a good routine to get ready for day games!

Rome asked Derosa if Piniella's June ejection is what sparked the Cubs run. Derosa said he'd like to say that, but more credits Soriano for getting the team on such a hot streak with his bat and clubhouse personality/energy.

Rome asks about the crowd change of Kendall; standing ovation to booing in one game. Derosa said, "you gotta grow a thick skin" to play here.

Derosa says playing for Piniella is "unbelievable" and outside of the one public tirade, hasn't heard much out of him. Compared him to Bobby Cox.

Derosa says one of his biggest regrets is not staying in college and finishing two more years of quarterbacking for Penn.

Says he was better at football than baseball, but didn't have the size to compete at the next level.

isn't it possible that they taped the interview prior to today?

What was the background? Busch Stadium?

*Jim Rome Impersonation*

you weren't repetitive enough, try this:

"Mark DeRosa"

"Injured his hammy"

"Hamstring, totally hurt, by DeRosa"

"I mean, ouch, right?"

"DeRo"

"Out"

I'm not going to sit here and say Mark DeRosa's injured hammy is the result of taking steroids.

I'm not about to go on the air accusing Mark DeRosa of doing steroids just because he tweaked his hammy swinging.

If you think I'm going to speculate that DeRo's sudden emergence late in his career as a good hitter raises some eyebrows, and that tweaking your hammy without even running is curious.................. you're wrong.

Clones, you might be sitting there thinking, Hey Rome, this DeRosa guy wasn't any good, then all of a sudden he's good, and then he pulls a hamstring standing still, he's on the juice................. but I'm not going to get in on that one.

am I the only one who doesn't listen to Jim Rome?

this time of year, i keep ESPNRadio on in the car just to catch breaking news. With that, one has to put up with Cowherd and Rome.

I turn on the radio every time I hit the throne at home, and it's always on ESPN radio, so if I'm crapping during the time Rome is on, I listen.
