And Arizona takes the lead.

What?

yeah, tomy, be careful. some people get their game info frm this thread . . . kinda confusing.

My bad. I'll keep the pessimism of that sort to myself.

:) hehe, we're all thinking it, but saying it can be misleading

Can somebody tell me what the deal is and why hitters (not just the DBacks but teams in his previous starts) are hitting so many foul balls off Hill? I mean from a 'how he's pitching' standpoint. Is it bad because they're making contact or good because they're barely getting the bat on the ball? Edited by soccer10k

Remember when Rich Hill had that start against the Brewers and he had like 50 foul balls given up in the first inning?

What was the result of that performance?

We won that game so I'll take it. :)

Not missing bats when you're pitching is never a good thing.

His fastball is mediocre, and he's been having trouble throwing his curve for strikes the past 6 weeks... I think it's as simple as that..

It's definitely bad. If a pitcher can't put hitters away, he's in trouble. It's evident by how many two strike hits Hill has given up lately.

Rich has been getting behind way too much today.

Surprised he's only gave up 2 runs so far.

Only 1 earned run actually.

He's pitched fine considering the crap defense behind him and not having his best stuff.

If he gets through 6 innings with 2 or less ER, I'm going to be stoked.

Dumb question, but at 2:55 does this game get blacked out on local TV?

No no. Doesn't work like that.

The damn sox vs Sox will be played in Chicago so yeah, no MIL game in this market. I'll be listening on Gameday Audio.

OOPS, I misread your question.
