Chin-Lung Hu-SS- Dodgers Jul. 13 - 4:37 pm et

Chin-Lung Hu, fresh off his Futures Game MVP award, homered and douhled Thursday in his debut for Triple-A Las Vegas.

Hu raised his OPS more than 200 points as a Double-A repeater, hitting .329/.380/.508 in 325 at-bats for Jacksonville. The Dodgers will have the option of dealing him later this month as they attempt to find a starting pitcher or another quality bat.

Hu has been crazy on fire lately. Any interest? Maybe not for now, but for the future.

Ronny Cedeno has been on fire too.

How in the world can you jump to that conclusion?

From the "No and that's all that's needed" perhaps? Have you attempted an intelligent response? Because all I see from you is totally empty blanket statements that always lack reasoning and logic. You'd probably not get absurd responses if all of your posts weren't so absurd and devoid of information.

You're right. I'm the epitome of a dumbass. I have never and will never bring useful contributions to this board. I exist with just one job, to vitiate this board more than any single poster. I have no shred of sanity. I have no shred of wisdom. I have yet to find my place in this meritocracy.

Well i wasn't completely of the opinion that you were against adding minor league talent. its just that with the way you worded your post, giving no explanation other than just "no".

my posts are icebergs seen from above water.

i just post the conclusion. the why doesn't really matter.

well im going to be a bit bold and say your going to have alot of threads derail like this one with that kind of methodology ;).

not really. i post my results. people disagree, tell me why they think im wrong. i then strike down their arguments piece by piece. then its over. i find the comments usually add to the discussion because while they may seem like a waste, its an easy way to get people talking. but seriously, does a marginal non-cubs prospect deserve a thread to himself? the door was open for this conversation

Exactly... You respond perfectly within that hyperbole again. It doesn't take much "sanity" or "wisdom" to just post a big stubborn "HE SUCKS MOST EVER," or "NO AND THAT'S ALL THAT'S NEEDED," "DONT YOU GUYS KNOW HES GOOD/BAD/etc.?" and never support any of it. That's essentially all I've ever seen you do. Then if anyone challenges any of it, or wants to spark an intelligent conversation from it, you shy away or post a picture for metaphor or whatever seems fitting at the time to avoid it. You can do whatever you want but since you questioned the response you received, I thought I'd clue you in.

Well, I'll give you one thing: You're the first person to say that I shy away from arguments. In fact a moderator warned me for trying to create too many arguments. I'm still waiting for another poster to respond to my sledgehammer of an argument in the ichiro thread. You see, I really do have reasoning and when I post them people have problems arguing against them.

I can assure you am I am well-versed in the knowledge of the game's economics, sabermetrics, the minor leagues' prospects, the draft's prospects and just about every thing else.

Yep, one of the most knowledgeable on the site.

And one of the most abrasive.

If only you would use that knowledge to unite, instead of divide... ;)

I said shy away from intelligent conversations. Granted, I could have missed a few. I didn't mean, "NO YOU'RE WRONG"-esque posts to be included in what I was referring to. I don't necessarily doubt you are as "well-versed" as you claim but I do know I've never seen it from you. You can't just expect people to think you're intelligent, you have to show it. I know there's plenty you've said that I have rock-solid data to dispute but chose it's not worth getting into any discussions since I've seen how you react to it. Perhaps then your problem isn't with knowledge but with stubborn arrogance that makes mature intelligent conversation impossible -- the, "I know I'm right so I refuse to discuss it or show my reasoning!" disease. Anyone can just TELL me how smart they think they are. I have a hard time believing the people who spend their time saying it rather than showing it.

okay heres some stuff you should read if you want to know how i really think.... viewtopic.php?t=35893

ive also explained a lot of little nuances about stats here and there, see the bottom of the page:

viewtopic.php?t=42269&start=75

ive also absolutely massacred the draft thread start here

viewtopic.php?t=41280&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=210

not to mention all the updates and information on the prospects there.

and finally the big one. a huge saber party involving Soriano saying Lugo would have been a bigger upgrade in the win column. of course Lugos gone down the drain but my reasoning was correct.

viewtopic.php?t=36777&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=570

i didnt get warmed up until pages 36-40 or so but the last 110 pages are loaded with Asmodai/Mephistopheles/kctigers excellence. Good reading material, I think
