This is how I see the top 10 going.

Portland Greg Oden

Seattle Kevin Durant

Atlanta Al Horford

Memphis Mike Conley

Boston Yi Jianlian

Milwaukee Corey Brewer

Minnesota Spencer Hawes

Charlotte Brendan Wright

Chicago Joakim Noah

Sacramento Jeff Green

Who does everyone want the bulls to take? (within reason) I know a lot of people on this board don't like Noah. Who would you guys rather have? Thornton? Hawes? I don't think Jianlin will still be available.

i would be shocked if the top of the order stayed as is. ESPN had a draft preview show last night showing all sorts of possiblities, including Atlanta trading the #3 and #11, Minnesota trading up, 3 and 4 way trades, etc.

They also speculated that if Atlanta keeps the #3, they could take Yi, as they're realizing the amount of money a Chinese player will produce (a la Yao)

I've talked myself into Noah over the past couple days.

For shame.

I think the guy I'd most like would be Brendan Wright or Corey Brewer.

Wright strikes me as lazy and Brewer strikes me as a bust.

Noah would be an upgrade over PJ Brown, and even if he never develops much offensively can step in and replace Ben Wallace as a low post defender/rebounder..

Admittedly, it's a "safe" pick. But to me, Noah probably fills a need better than anyone else likely to be available would.

Ford's most recent mock:

Oden

Durant

Horford

Conley

Yi

Green

Brewer

Wright

Noah

Thorton

I'm also a Noah fan at 9. I don't want him over Wright. I do prefer him over Hawes and Yi.

what time does the draft start, and what what is the clock system like?

...haven't truly paid attention to an NBA draft in, well, forever.

Barring unexpected trades, we probably get whichever guy Boston doesn't take (Yi or Noah).

I think Pax takes Noah if he is on the board. Last year he went with athleticsim over polish....this year he does the reverse.

How so? Noah's athletic and his offensive game lacks polish.

He isn't athletic as guys like Wright, or Yi. His offensive game may lack polish, but he is NBA ready in terms of Defense and rebounding.

For some reason I think the Bulls end up with Yi. Not really sure why I think this.

only if the Bulls can trade up to #3 or #4, as there is virtually no way Boston passes on him at 5

Sure, he might not be as athletic as others on the board, but the Bulls certainly won't be going with polish over athleticism here. His defense and rebounding are ahead of his offense but they still need work at the next level, especially given his frame.

Why do you think Corey Brewer will be a bust?

Yi declined the combine so we don't have numbers for him, but Noah tested out higher than Wright ranking 43rd overall versus 61st overall for Brandon. Columns in order are PLAYER, NO STEP VERTICAL, MAX VERTICAL, BENCH PRESS, LANE AGILITY, 3/4 CRT SPRINT, OVERALL RANK

Joakim Noah 32.5 37.5 12 11.79 3.47 43
Brandan Wright 30.5 35.5 2 11.76 3.31 61

As a Suns fan I really hope Phoenix can net a trade for Garnett tonight. I'm kinda hoping for a third year in a row with 0 draft picks.

too bad for you that Atlanta killed the 3-way trade that would have sent Stoudamire to Atlanta, Garnett to the Hawks, and the #3 and #11 to Minnesota

Aside from being athletic, does he strike you as being a great offensive player? He's not a great shooter, he's not a great defender.
