Brewers SP Chris Capuano, who has been on the disabled list with a groin injury, threw a simulated game Wednesday and passed his final test in order to be activated for Tuesday's start against the Pirates, according to MLB.com. Once manager Ned Yost received word Capuano was ready to return, he lined up his rotation through the All-Star break. Rookie Yovani Gallardo will start Friday's series opener against the Cubs, then will report for bullpen duty until further notice.

how long until he's back in the rotation replacing someone?

To be fair, this is the reason why:

He pitched well in both of his starts since a promotion from Triple-A Nashville, but Yost believes that some time in the bullpen could help keep Gallardo's 21-year-old arm fresh for August and September.

Hopefully the Brewers will be out of the race by then. :P

Yost is just being coy here.

What he's really thinking is that he needs to keep Gallardo's 21-year-old arm fresh for September and October.

Giving one of their 5 best starters less work now seems like a move a team makes when they really like their chances of making the postseason.

They're up 7.5 games, 10.5 on the 3rd place team. I'd really like their chances, if I was them. Heck, I really like their chances, and I'm very biased against them.

Just for the record, I have no idea what he looks like, I was just acting inspiration to make the most worthless post possible. I think this off day has been getting to me. Play ball, dammit!
