I know you didnt in your post. However the "enjoy him SD" to me means you are pretty glad hes gone. Barret is being made a scapegoat by this pathetic ass organization and its a bunch of bull. Every damn year this team sucks, they seem to find 1 guy who is basically the scapegoat, instead of looking their fat ass faces in the mirror, and realizeing the people running this team(Im looking at you Hendry) are the problem. Everyone needs a good rant now and then, its cool. I am glad he's gone though, I feel like he was a cancer in the clubhouse. The only reason was got him was for his bat, his defense is atrocious to the point where it cost as a couple games. When he didn't start to hit was when Lou decided he needed to go. We already have black holes at SS, RF(when Jones starts) and now catcher. Hendry is to blame for this big pile of crap thats being put on the field, and for not giving Soto a shot to see what he can do.

I really hope Barrett goes on a tear for the rest of his career and makes everyone of his critics look foolish. For the record, I'm way against this trade. Barrett was one of my favorite Cubs. I really do wish him the best out there.

I hope the Cubs have the patience to ride out Theriot's slump, he's better than what he's putting up right now. I know his .500+ slg last year was flukey and somewhat comical, but he's also capable of doing better than he is doing now in the majors. As others have mentioned, he's a utility player, and DeRosa should never lose a start to him, but Theriot has value to this team.

I remember when many said Sosa was the cancer. So they got rid of him, and still didn't win. Pierzynski's been called a cancer on every team he's been on... but he's been on quite a few winning teams.

Poor base runner, can't catch the ball, called a poor game, cannot throw anyone out, if Bowen hits .220 but, provides more complete baseball. He'll increase the Cubs' chances of playing better baseball and perhaps, winning baseball.
