well at least he's gone... unfortunately he probably will end up losing the game for us, but oh well.

Yeah, we're in deep trouble with the game tied at 1.

Enough. They should have booted the last fan, and they need to boot this fan.

This guy is booted and I think the last one was too.

Interesting - they boot him but it wasn't fan interference?

You bet your ass if it had benefitted the Cubs it would have been. Thanks major league baseball.

The ushers aren't acting at the behest of the umpires.

Last I saw, the first fan was still hanging out.

Technically it was interference, the umps just didn't call it. Both times a guy reached over into the field of play and redirected the ball.

and of course both calls go against us.

True, but the first one was right IMO.

Yeah it was. But, the odds that the home team gets neither is pretty long.

Not really. Those calls are very difficult to see and very rarely made.

they need to put alligators in the baskets with friggin' lasers on their foreheads

Are those fricken' alligators with fricken' laser beams attached to their fricken' heads?

Dr. Evil wanted sharks, not alligators.

We have the most [expletive] fans that attend games.....DON'T TOUCH THE BALL....plus, why would you try to catch a ball from the other team just to throw it back....KICK HIM OUT

Exactly. It is not bad enough that I can not stand the a-clowns in the bleachers to begin with (everything wrong with the Cubs), but to happen two times in one game (in consecutive innings) is just embarrassing.

Holy Hyperboly!

Bleacher fans are far from everything that's wrong with the Cubs.

Most people are smart enough to not be a moran in that situation.

not sure why people are mad at the fans. the fans acted like fans do. I just wish the umpires would act as umpires should act.

Dumb fans. Every time I've sat in a front row (okay, the one time I did), I made sure my wife knew that you can't go for the ball over the rail, unless it is late in the game and it might benefit the Cubs, in which case let me do it and where to meet me after I get thrown out.

Fans are like dogs. You throw a ball at them and they'll go fetch it.

Or trained Seals. Never understood the obession with catching a ball.

So if people want the batter called out because that fan redirected the ball, shouldn't they demand Lee be called out for redirecting a ball that wasn't going out?

are there umpires standing beneath the outfield fence? Give me a break. They can't see whether a fan grazes a ball 250 feet away.

If you're in the front row, you don't reach forward to grab a baseball. That's not difficult.

Isn't the rule if the player was, in the umpire's judgment, going to make the catch?
