oh great another crappy pitcher

L

I already forget dude's name on the Braves that Marshall got to face twice. Cubs had no problem helping his ERA continue to rise.

Are those numbers for Weaver made up?! Holy crap, Cubs could pound him out of the game in three innings and his ERA and WHIP would probably both still go down. Maybe the Mariners should work out a deal with that Israeli baseball team that Koufax is pitching for.

keep in mind...weaver left with back stiffness in his last start, so that should be an interesting subplot maybe

oh good, so the no-name relief staff can 1 hit us for 7 innings

That would be the immortal Lance Cormier. After the second beating he took from us, the Braves either sent him down, DFA'd him, or put him on the DL; I forget which. Point is, we won't get a chance to see him again anytime soon.

Go CUBS !!

Lou really should flip Lilly and Marquis for the next start. We have an off day on monday to flip them back. Seattle is a lefty team, the Fathers are the righty based team.

On a side note- is this just me....Young Jason Marquis, Jason Marquis, an old Jason Marquis?

There would SEEM to be no possible way on this planet that the Cubs don't kill the M's in this one.

I predict the Cubs win, but it takes a superhuman Marquis game to do it. 2-1 win.

Thats Jason Biggs, Jason Marquis, and Mark Cuban. They all look very similar at different stages of their lives.

I'm going to be all kinds of pissed off if the Cubs don't win this game.

Well.... it's better to be pissed off than pissed on, no?

An excellent point, Fred.

Only if it gets called after the first inning.
