That's a game the Cubs never win.

It honestly has been pretty admirable to see this team play well without their best pure hitter in the lineup. I really wish he'd get back though.

and Derrek Lee hasn't been Derrek Lee. They are winning because of their starters and the Pen has been pretty good recently.

and Soriano has been putrid since the beaning.

I am still smarting over that 9th inning near homer he had in the first game of this series. Stupid wind.

hit a bomb in the Lilly ejection game too, but overall, he's looking like the Alfonso of April again.

This is absolutely pathetic that the Cubs only got 3 runs off of Jeff Weaver in 6 innings.

careful there. the Cubs had a .390+ OBP against Weaver in this game. you bash them too much for failure to score more runs, you may be on the verge of accusing them of failing to be clutch

Yeah, it wasn't all bad today. I guess they were just unlucky to not have more runs with 12 (I believe) hits they had. Plus Weaver lowered his ERA from 12.46 to 10.97 today. Whatever, the Cubs won. No need to fret too much.

The best features of yesterday' win was the Cubs finally did to the opposition what has been done to them all season. Fall behind, get the lead, carry it late into the game, bullpen can't throws strikes late in the game, someone comes up with a big hit after those free passes, how refreshing.

Okay, so I was at the game today and here are a few of my notes:

1-The home plate umpire drove me up a friggin' wall with his 10-second delay before calling a ball/strike.

he says the call verbally right away, so the people who need to know (the players) aren't waiting for a delay. sorry to inform you that the ump isn't there for the fans

Woah, who crapped in your cornflakes.

And in all reality, one could argue that he IS there for the fans (to a certain extent). Baseball is a form of entertainment. If nobody went to the games would they still ho...well, nevermind. They still hold Sox Games. But you know what I mean.

Anyway, It's still super annoying.
