miguel batista sucks slightly more than the cubs.

cubs win 9-7 in preparation for the slugfest that is marquis/weaver. Any chance the wind blows out for that one?

I hope, for pure entertainment, that the wind is blowing out for that matchup.

Its lame being the fan of a team that has absolutely no heart.

And yet I keep hoping...

Having Heart isn't the problem, it's lacking the skills to close out games...They are battling on a daily basis.

Then I guess I should say a team that has tons of heart but sucks.

enough talent to win, but just enough cubness to find a way to lose

I honestly can't remember another team quite like this. 2004 comes close, but I don't remember this many heartbreaks on a daily basis.

no, that team actually won more games than they lost, plus they bunched most of their chokes up toward the end of the year. this team knew how to choke from day one.

Cubs against Batista:

Floyd was probably going to start anyway but he's 8-20 with a HR

Barrett is 2-4

Izturis has a HR off him :shock:

Lee = .250

nothing else stands out - Kerry Wood is 1-3 :lol:

Maybe this team will get their choking done early and cruise through the end of their schedule and into the playoffs.

Just a thought. :)

Just so long as Jock Strap is not playing anymore. That throw to the plate, though on target, was awful. From where he came up with the ball any major leaguer should be able to get the ball to the plate on a line. What a joke of an arm. Not excusing Barrett's blunder either but that throw was god awful.

The forecasts are all calling for between 5-10 mph out of the E or northeast, so, blowing in.
