It seems the tourney has tourned more into "who likes the same sports teams as you" rather than "who is the best member". Although if that's how we judge it (I have done the same thing on occasion) then so be it.

This is true, but it keeps the competitions at a very safe distance from being too personal. The whole thing has a very good nature about it right now, and the fun factor should be way ahead of proving any type of actual point.
