Does Pie seem like the ideal leadoff hitter to anyone else?

No.

Why not, he always gets on a base.

Soriano doesn't get hot til late in the game.

you are confusing me.

Pie gets hits early in the game.

Soriano waits til late in the game to get his hits.

At least that is what I have noticed.

I would rather have Pie in the leadoff spot.

For his career, Soriano hits:

.297/.350/.527 in innings 1-3

.282/.326/.538 in innings 4-6

.281/.331/.476 in innings 7-9

What is Pie hitting?

.316/.316/.421 in innings 1-3

.438/.438/.875 in innings 4-6

.077/.111/.077 in innings 7-9

Then again, Pie only has about 20 PA in each slot, so you can't take too much from his numbers.

Uh-oh. Looks like he may be ANTI-CLUTCH.

Jeromy Burnitz all over again.

Pie gets sick during innings 7-9.

Aw come on, I liked Burnzy.

He seemed like a genuinely nice guy... unfortunately he was more suited to giving ballpark tours than playing ball.

He was one of the most likable guys on the Cubs in recent memory. Personality wise, that is. He also did a pretty decent job with the bat during the first half.

ARam will be day to day and miss 5 games probably. That my guess

Who do we have that can play the infield, besides who's playing now?

Barrett could move to 3B for a while in an emergency, same with Soriano to 2B, but I don't see either happening.

Maybe they will send Pagan down for Eric Patterson!

Well a lot of that is coming in to PH against a team's best relievers... it's hardly unexpected for a rookie to struggle in that situation.

His OPS dropped about 100 points late in the game when he had to face lefty specialists.

And he wasn't very good as a Cub.

What do we need another LF for? :D :x

I know he wasn't the best 2B, but can't be worse than Soriano

Update on Aramis coming up after the break. I'm guessing he's day-to-day. He'll miss at least 5 games.

A-Ram with a knee sprain, according to Pat. For those watching the game, how bad was the tweak? (Glad to hear it's not his hammy or groin)

These bud commercials make me happy. I like the Cubs. I like bud. They're a winning combination when it comes to commercials.

Just tuned in on lunch break. Someone PLEASE tell me that Trammell decided to go with Izturis as a defensive replacement due to the early lead and that Ramirez isn't hurt.

It didn't look all that bad, he just came up gimpy. Any word on how long he might be out?

Can't tell you that because it's not true. Rammy is hurt.

Sorry, man, but Rammy's hurt. Sprained knee.
