Barrett was on the pre-game show with Cory Provost. He said he only went to the hospital b/c they didn't have the necessary seringes to do the job in the clubhouse. He was there and out in minutes.

It doesn't sound like he needed scans.

He's also available for todays game but isn't starting.

Who here is hoping for another fight today?

Be honest.

Maybe between the Cubs and the Braves, but not Cubs teammates.*

*The only organizational fight I'd allow would have to involve Jim Hendry.

Hopefully Lou KOs Hendry.

This baseball team is the worst baseball team I ever seen this year. Amazing that a $100 million payroll can really be flushed down the toilet (Other than D-Lee and Aramis) with a bunch of players that has no business being here, especially with their enflated egos.

The solution to the problem is that the Cubs need to do a major purge of their organization. I'm willing to keep the President since he's new, but the GM needs to go. The Manager needs to go, and certain players need to go.

I don't think the Cubs ever had a true re-building mode. It's just been reloading with spent shell castings. Perhaps the solution is to rebuild?

This year? LOL!

Hell yes. The Cubs are so much better than this Mickey Mouse garbage we're seeing out there.

Funny, I recall you going on about how this was "the worst baseball team you'd seen in 35 years"...

That's the point - it's far worse than just "this year's worst team".

Can we just blame this whole thing on Blanco for going on the DL and forcing Barrett to catch Z?

That would be a lot easier.

i think we should just blame it all on CT :)

zambrano(after explaining why he doesn't need anger management): "only god can control my emotions"

Are you telling me Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?

He always got crossed up.

If Jobu can't hit it, no one can. "F you Jobu, I do it myself!"

Yep; his changing his screen name to include Zambrano's number is what caused it. :D

"I want to apologize to the Cubs organization and Cubs fans and everybody who saw it [on television]. … I hope this ends everything." Barrett said several times how much he loved Zambrano and how "everyone is one the same page."

Don't know if this has been discussed, but how nice of Carlos to apolgize directly to Barrett.

[expletive] jackass.

Lou said he wasn't going to let them talk to each other for a few days.

I guess I should have said "indirectly" at the press conference. Though Barrett didn't actually say "I'm sorry", he did speak kindly of his teamate today in the media.

Ah, the truth beginning to leak slowly:

But Barrett, whose catching skills aren't exactly held in high regard by Cubs' pitching staffs both past and present, is also a drama queen. He's had his share of tantrums, beginning with his part in the destruction of Sammy Sosa's boom box in 2004, with his home plate brawl with Chicago White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski in 2006, and now this. It doesn't help that he's hitting .241 (.217 in May) and has been brutal on the basepaths.

I find it hard to believe that wojlkjoijoijoij knows Barret had something to do with it, but yet we have never heard this from any Chicago writer.
