No disputing the bullpen sucks, but tonight Lou had the opportunity to use those new, young "power arms" he's been boasting about and he STILL went with Howry to start the 8th. So for tonight, Lou sucks.

you suck, lou.

i understand lou managed this bullpen poorly (as always), but at some point pitchers have to get outs.

Exactly its time we hold the pitchers accountable for sucking ass every freaking night, and quit blaming Lou for everything.

lou's the one that keeps bringing in the terrible pitchers. no one's denying that they suck.

Problem is Wuertz and Demp are the only ones who dont suck, somebody else has to pitch also when the starter cant make it out of 5

I mean at least last year they just were so terrible the games were over early. This is absurd. This is the second time they have come up with a big 7th inning to take a lead, only cough it up in unbelievable fashion.

I know the offense has been inconsitent, but this team is 1 or 2 games in back of the Brewers with an average to even just below average bullpen.

Seriously what will it take? There is no answer.

Wuertz needs to be the guy who pitches in the 8th inning. Has been the entire year.

What inning the pitchers go in isn't that important. What matters is who comes in for close games, and yeah, Weurtz should be in there.

I can't blame Lou for bringing in Howry. He's had trouble this year, but he has a strong track record of success in the pen, and that isn't something you can say for many relievers. He should have pulled him before that third hit, though.

Howry and Ohman is crap. Can our closer, you know the guy who used to be a starter, not ever go two innings? Does every eighth have to be started, poorly, by Howry?

fixed

Eyre??

Left him out cause thats obvious and he didnt pitch tonight

Gotta love that swing for the fences approach by Ramirez.

You know...gotta tie it up on one swing and be the hero Yo. F gettin on base for others to knock in.

Wow, was gonna go to bed, but saw that the Cubs were winning this game. Then, to no surprise the bullpen struck. They may have good overall stats, but they continually have shown they are excellent at blowing leads.

Losing the lead gives Saito a save chance for the team I'm facing in fantasy ball. WTG, Cobs, get a run.

They should have just taken the loss 5-1. What's the point of coming back if it's so early in the game like the 7th inning. If you're going to come back do it in the 9th, maybe 8th and perhaps you can win the game.

Silly players

that was a pathetic ab. swing at ball 3 on 2-0 and then stare at two strikes.

how does any one in this organization have a friggin' job?
