This is going to be a very interesting lineup. 3 of the 5 guys who have a 1.000 OPS or more against Glavine (min 10 AB's) are Floyd, Izturis, and Blanco-none of whom who would usually be considered to start tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if any of them start tomorrow, or if Lou goes with the lineup he had against left-handers last week.

With Marquis in the lineup, it wouldn't hurt too much to have one of Blanco/Izturis to start. Blanco with his good numbers and three right-handers facing the team the next 3 days, and Izturis with his good numbers and recent good hitting. I don't think the team should have both of them in there though at the same time.

I remember the Cubs doing well against Glavine last time they faced if I'm not mistaken...What I'm worried about is Marquis' #'s to start balancing themselves out against the Mets' potent offense.

I have a bad feeling about this game.

Man, I have had bad feelings about the last several games, as in the last 200 or so! :P

As much as I've enjoyed seeing Marquis dominate, this is shaping up to be the first game where gets absolutely brutalized out there.

Please win, Cubs.

The Cubs have some big numbers against Glavine:

Ramirez = .500

Floyd = .394

Izturis = .412

Soriano = .375

Blanco = .455

Ward = .375

Lee = .288

Even Zambrano has a HR

This may not be an easy game for Glavine...

Ooh I just realized this game is gonna be a Joe Morgan special.

I'm gonna drink every time Morgan talks about Jose Reyes' god-like qualities or generally says something stupid. This way if the Cubs lose I really won't care.

Oh yes, this is also on ESPN. So, even though I don't live anywhere close to Chicago, the game will be blacked out for me. Like I don't already get to see just Cubs games that are on WGN or games against the Cardinals. I hate you, stupid blackout rules.

You might not remember it either.

How do we know Morgan has this game? It could be Dusty :shock:

I'm actually glad the game is on WCIU now.

Obviously I hope I'm wrong here, but I have a feeling that Marquis is going to get lit up tomorrow.

Line-up of Delgado, Beltran, Reyes, and Wright. He better bring his A-game.

Chicago Cubs Vs. Tom Glavine

Lee looks good, as always... Hopefully he's playing. Barrett? Not so much. He has a lot of ABs against him, but this may be a night to start Blanco, because Blanco is 5 for 11. Floyd looks great. Ramirez, also does, as always. Looks like Izzy will get the start. He's been great lately, too. Soriano looks good. He should also have a good day. Ward doesnt look to terrible.. Z has a home run against him :lol:. Maybe he'll pinch hit.

New York Mets Vs. Jason Marquis

Green looks like a threat. Reyes also might. Beltran has a home run, but not much because he's only 2 for 14. Alou also has a home run, but he's 1 for 11. Castro is a threat. 5 for 11, 2 HRs. Valentin has a home run, but he's 2 for 8. Lo Duca is 4 for 8... And Delgado is 3 for 5 with a homer...

So we predict the drunken blackout to occur sometime between the bottom of the first and the middle of the second, right?
