Come on now. Cedeno's range is top tier and he has a great arm. He makes a ton of great plays and botches the routine stuff, bloating his error numbers.

Maybe not, but that's 3 plays already tonight where a SS with more range makes plays (4 if you count the not taking the out at second, which I am not). Theriot needs to improve upon that if he intends to stick there.

Apparently people prefer a giant black hole in the lineup who is a good defensive player as opposed to a bright spot in the lineup who is an adequate defensive player.

 

I'd prefer not to have an automatic out.
