I never meant that was the full trade idea, just that those were the necessary pieces.

 

Izzy and Ronny aren't going to work out. Theriot is nothing special. At best he's a poor man's Freel.

 

Z's due for a major arm injury in the near future.

 

brandon wood will not be a shortstop in the major leagues

He will be far more valuable than either Cedeno or Izturis, even if he is butchering the spot.

Wow. I'm surprised about three things on that play:

 

1. It wasn't a double play.

2. Ramirez didn't injure himself (re: strained groin) tripping over second.

3. Ramirez didn't get tagged out at second after tripping.
