Probably the best move. Let Soriano rest that hamstring so it doesn't become a nagging injury and find out if Pie really can hack it in the bigs.

Bruce says whether or not Soriano goes on Dl, Pie is stayin. They will send ohman out first.

P.S. DJ White officially announced he's stayin at IU .. WOOOO what a great day

I sure hope this isn't a mistake. Please don't letthis be Patterson all over again.

P.S. Hey guys more good news Trent Meachum is staying at Illinois and not going pro. I mean both have the same chance at playing in the NBA anyways. lol.

haven't we been skeptical of bruce levine in the past?

Yes.

Pie has a hot bat right now and needs as much playing time as possible. If Soriano goes on the 15 day DL, Pie better be playing in CF in as many of those games as humanly possible. His development is almost at a point where he can only continue to improve if he faces major league pitching.

If its true that Felix is here to stay, then I think it also means that jacque's days are numbered. That's what I call a "win-win". And if you think Lou won't cut bait with a vet, look what's happening to Bad Ohman.

My guess is that the team isn't comfortable with Jones in CF even if it's just for a few games. Pie will replace Soriano in CF and be sent back when Soriano is ready to go again. If Pie plays so well that he forces the issue of keeping him, then Jones could end up being dealt.

My guess is a reliever will be sent down to make room for Pie.

darn, this doesn't bo well for Murton, Pie hasn't shown enough maturity yet.

I don't understand either statement.

If Pie is in the lineup, that's another lefty, so it presumably lessens the need to have Jacque and Floyd in at the same time.

And what the heck does the maturity comment even mean.

This guy has not played any games at the major league level for any determinable length of time and he is the next superstar?? before jumping on his band-wagon I think I want to kick the tires first.

That's what a callup for an injured player is, a kick the tires situation.

I don't think people are guaranteeing superstardom, rather they are expressing excitement to see a very talented player on the team.

I hear the under-tone of "boy, hell come up and show himself as a wunderkind and be starting cf by the end of the month" I remember Bobby Hill and the excitement generated by his call up. I hope everyone is right and he is a great hitter and fielder.

Who is calling him "the next superstar"?
