I heard he might miss tomorrow's game also. There has to be something else going on because a hand just doesn't get swollen all by itself. I hope the Cubs don't pull a Prior and say there is nothing to it if there really is.

This team is not as good as they can be as long as Murton is not out on the field. We will lose over and over if Theriot, Cedeno, a 80% Floyd, DeRosa, and Izturis are consistently on the field.

 

The constant need for imaginary scapegoats and sideshow issues like Floyd while constantly protecting our sacred cows like Zambrano from the dirty truth is tiring.

 

I promise you .. the marginal difference in .OPS from Floyd to Murton at the difference in this year will not be the difference between what sinks or soars the Cubs 2007 season.

This game was weird. First 4 innings i was ecstatic about the 2 out hitting, stolen bases and the decent pitching from Z. And then my world came tumbling down. Is it to early for Lou to give them the "Get your head out of your Asses speech"? I mean AS has been picked off 1st twice already this year. Did he get lessons from JJ? We need Hill to pitch another great game tomorrow. Bronson always gives us trouble.

$136M man continues to look very ordinary.

 

The only positive with Sori is that even when he is sucking, he already has 5 doubles in 9 games.

 

And yet his OPS is .528 heading into today. He has a hit in every game I think, which is weird because of his pathetic AVG and OBP.

I remember when Leyland went off on his team about this time last year and it worked for them. Yelling doesn't always work obviously, but if Lou's good at it give it a shot!
