Per Rotoworld. They really don't get it, do they?

The team ERA is almost 8.00 and they aren't looking to deal for starters?

The pen hasn't been any better.

Long-term, the rotation is in better shape than the pen. It's not like adding an arm in the pen is taking away from improving the rotation.

With guys like Niemann, Hammel, Talbot, and Sonnanstine in AAA looking quite promising and others scattered throughout their minor league system I don't see a huge need for them to go out and grab SP. Especially at what it is costing right now since they are such a low-budget team. If I were to trade one of the OFer's, it would be either Gomes or Baldelli and I don't think either of them would really fetch anything too special anyway.

Think we could get in on him?

If he rebounds we have a hell of a closer, and if he sucks, then it wouldn't cost us too much. He'd be a hell of a reclaimation project, though, and would probably have to straighten himself out in Iowa before joining the big club.

Like I said in a gamethread, they only have 1 lefty out of the pen. Let's trade them Eyre for Lidge. Makes perfect sense. :D

James Shields is going to be a pretty good pitcher in their rotation.

He's looked pretty good so far tonight. He's gone 5 innings, 2 hits, 1 run (a solo homer in the 1st, 5K's/0BB's.

Well it looks like I jinxed him. In the 6th he allowed 4 runs (3 earned) on 2 homeruns.

I wouldn't mind having Lidge. I think he'll rebound and be just fine. How about we give them Wade Miller for him.

It certainly wouldn't hurt Lidge to leave Houston.

And if he goes to TB he won't have to face Pujols this year.

World Series.

So...Raisin's on record now for projecting a WS of Tampa vs St. Louis!

Cards don't have the offense to make it.

Certainly not if Pujols hits .176 this year.

Well, he is about done. He is well out of his prime years now at age 35.

Raisin also had Rafael Dolis in his top 30 list. :)

Somehow I don't see the Devil Rays making the postseason this year let alone the World Series. :D
