Took off the afternoon from teaching to be at home to watch the game. Can't wait for the home opener. BTW, I apologize if Vance has to be in school until after the game starts.

I've always wondered, what is the significance of the numbers next to the team names on the scoreboard? It's obviously not the starting pitchers' numbers, as it is for the Cubs' notation.

For the Cubs game it is, but there's an 8 next to STL and an 11 next to Pittsburgh on the scoreboard. I'm pretty sure Looper and Snell don't wear those numbers.
