What about pinch hitting Cedeno instead of....anyone else?

Cedeno made sense, IMO. With Blanco back now, Murton will probably jump ahead of Cedeno for RH PH at bats now that he's no longer the emergency catcher.

Uh, why is Izturis hitting 2nd?

](*,)

My appreciation level for Lou just dropped a notch.

And it's not like Izturis has ever had success against Sheets.

Hopefully, this line up concoction will be short lived. After 4 games last year, I had a long list of things that I felt Dusty did wrong. After 4 games with Lou, the only thing I've second guessed on him is taking out Marquis an inning early. Not bad.

I'm second guessing him on Izturis, and I hope I end up being wrong and Izturis has a great day in the 2 hole. But, Izturis just isn't an OBP hog and he's better suited to hit at the bottom of the order.

Anyone else = Blanco? Ward or Floyd against a LHP?

Just because its Lefty-Lefty doesn't mean its bad. Floyd, incidentally, had better splits against lefties than Cedeno.

Cedeno's a different hitter than his awful streak last year. And it's not nearly enough of a sample for me to conclude he's got some sort of reverse split. Ultimately, it's not as cut and dry to rake Lou over the coals over.

We weren't really happy with the line-up he threw out yesterday... But look how they produced. He's seeing a little more than we are, so I'll trust him.

We? I was perfectly fine with yesterday's line up.

I thnk he is referring to the mini-meltdown that occurs everytime Murton is not in the lineup.

I like Murton as much as the next guy, but Floyd is going to get some starts. Luckily, it doesn't appear as though it's going to be an absolute platoon. Murton is starting against Sheets today.

Exactly. I think Floyd could be a great addition this year. He needs to play enough to be productive, and not too much to where he gets hurt.

Hopefully Zambrano doesn't act like a big baby again today.

I thought the ump was squeezing him a bit in game 1.

Maybe so. But reacting like that isn't exactly going to get you any calls either.

holy cow, not only have we lost this game, but we've lost all hope for the season.

Way to Go Lou Izturis!

Soriano always swings at the first pitch, no matter where it's at. Take a pitch already.

Would've liked to see DeRosa hitting second.

Would also like to see Soriano take some pitches.

Taking some pitchers would only put you down early in the count.

Sheets is a strike machine.
