Short turnaround from tonight as we're only about 14 hours away from the start of tomorrow's game. Rich Hill was dominant and looked like the same Hill that dominated in the second half of last season. Offense broke through for their first big game of the season as we scored six times in the first inning. Let's hope that they saved some runs for tomorrow and Sunday as well.

Pitching matchup:

Carlos Zambrano: 0-1, 9.00 ERA, 5 IP, 2 Ks/5 BBs

Ben Sheets: 1-0, 1.00 ERA, 9 IP, 3 Ks/0 BBs

Getting three strong starts in a row from Lilly, Marquis, and Hill has to inspire Z to make it four in a row. Let's hope he's not as wild as he was on Monday as well. And let's also hope that Sheets won't be as dominant as he was against the Dodgers.

A quick start on offense against Sheets would really help Z settle in and dominate, I would think.

Mods, feel free to add the XM radio station for the game in the thread title.

Go Cubs!

Forgot one thing...

This game is...

Chicago Cubs Vs. Ben Sheets (RHP)

Ramirez has a lot of ABs... Lee is great against Sheets, as always. The rest are nothing special, though. Z is 5 for 9 though.

Milwaukee Brewers Vs. Carlos Zambrano (RHP)

http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/4539/zvsbrewersfk7.jpg

Jenkins has okay numbers against Z. Nothing all that special here either. Fielder is 4 for 10 with 3 BB. Counsell is 5 for 13 with 7 BB. Hopefully the walks will cut down for Z tomorrow. Gabe Gross has 4 BBs in 8 PAs.

Pretty similer numbers against the opposing team for these two pitchers. It could very well end up being a pitchers duel.

Lets get another win!

I think Cedeno is going to start tomorrow, you think Floyd will be in LF again? - he sure hits the ball hard...

Maybe Jacque Jones could be taken out since he's 1 for 10 against Sheets. Izzy is also 2 for 21 against Sheets... which could mean a start for Cedeno. Especially due to the day game after night game.

Wonder what other subs Lou will make because of that.

Lee with a lower OBP than BA against Sheets.

There ya go.

Derrek Lee just has amazing abilities.

Why would he not be. He's been saving all his hitting talent in ST for the regular season.

Hmm. Indeed.

I meant, however, is he actually back.

Yeah, he was in the bullpen during tonight's game. I'm sure he'll get the start tommorow.

Given that Derrek Lee can apparently levitate his bat... I would agree that he has amazing abilities.

I'll be at the game tomorrow. Can't wait. I'm not looking forward to tailgating in freezing cold weather, but if I can handle Bears season, I can handle one Cubs game. We have great seats too. 100 level, between 1st base and right field. There's 30 of us, all Cubs fans, so we should be easy to spot. And I guarantee that you will be able to hear us.
