I don't know about you guys, but I've never really even visited BCB. Actually, I thought it was a regular 'info' site more than a forum/blog community.

Also, Athletics Nation is huuuuge, and the Mariners somehow have two in the top ten (#6, #7)

Sir, BCB is the bloggiest blog that ever blogged. It's main page and all the "sub-blogs"/comment sections fullfill all the drama and histronics and slapping fights you expect at a high school drama class' lunch table.

That both BCB and MLBTradeRumors ended up on this list says a LOT about the research put into this puff piece.

MLB Traderumors...really?
Yeah that's a head scratcher for me as well. I remember reading some really outlandish rumors there that never materialized in other outlets, so it didn't impress me that much.

Don't worry, that's pretty much everything posted there.

At least half the sites -- Athletics Nation, BCB, Viva El Birdos, Lookout Landing and minorleagueball (Sickels' site) -- are all part of Sports Blog Nation.

According to BCB:

Full disclosure: Sports Media Challenge's Director of New Media Strategy and Fan Engagement is Dexter Bustarde, the SB Nation Padres blogger at Gaslamp Ball.

I wont try to tell everybody that mlbtraderumors is a great blog. It isn't.

But their credibility has come a long way from the absolute joke that it used to be. Anybody could have emailed in a "tip" and it would have made it up there immediately and taken as fact. Now it does a lot of linking to other news articles and usually identifies what is mere speculation. It's a worthy read now, and not for the unintentional comedy value.

I have not yet seen these, but are they truely that bad or is there a pang of jealousy?

we have what we have and I am pretty darn proud of it and the people. It is quality not quantity. just ask Bruce, Len and Bob

Seconded. They take themselves much more seriously now.

should say "he". it's all run by one guy. he also runs rotoauthority, which I think is the much better of the two blogs. he also runs allcubs, but rarely posts there.

i think mlbtraderumors is at least a credible roundup of the various rumors on the web, but it's really not much more than that.

I don't read your posts, yet I enjoy looking at the picture of the girl. Just had to get that out.
