I don't have a 3rd round pick. Are we going to try to have 4th round?

I'd be all for a 4th round, but I'm not sure if the consesus would agree. The original plan was for just three rounds anyway.

I wasn't aware there was such an agreement.

I say we institute a shot clock for the later rounds in case people drop out. nothing crazy though.

'Cubweiser and the Lions' makes me want to puke. Ok here we go...

Detroit Lions select MLB, David Harris. University of Meeechigan.

The Lions really need Middle Linebacker and Harris is probably the 2nd best MLB in this draft. He has all the football skills as well as all the 'measurables' to make it in this league. It isnt a coicindence UofM's defense really improved last year while Harris took over the starting MLB. Ernie Sims is a real good Weakside LB in the cover 2, adding Harris will give them a nice 1-2 punch. Harris can start from day 1 on this team, Lions need that in this pick.

CB is a REAL pressing need with Dre Bly's depature. But im going to go with Harris here because im pretty damn positive he wont be a bust and will be a real solid contributor immediately. Great PR move too having a Michigan man be the QB for this defense, they could use that well.

Change the thread title....now

i'd do it too, but everyone has to agree on it... otherwise people will stop doing it and we'll get stuck

Exactly. Like texascub, I'm fine with all 7 rounds if everybody else is, but there does need to be agreement all around.

Not so much an agreement, just that when Vance started this he said he planned on doing only three rounds. Don't know how set in stone that is, either way is fine with me.

I am in-not sure how far we'll get in the draft with only a little over 17 days until draft day. It took us 5-6 days to go through the 2nd, so if we continue on that pace I guess we could possibly get to around the end of the 5th.

My personal opinion is just let it keep going until we either lose interest, get to the end of the draft, or the real draft starts. Might as well continue I figure.

We can keep it going. I'm not sure we'll finish all seven....hell, I might get worn out. I think the Cowboys have stockpiled seventh round picks.

We have 2 sixth-round picks (195 and 200 overall), and 3 seventh-round picks (212, 234, and 237 overall).

Yeah, this makes the most sense.

I definitely can go all 7 rounds.

In order to keep this thing moving we should impose a 12 or 24-hour deadline for draft picks. If the GM for a team fails to show up within the alloted time, we will just do a consensus pick for the team and keep moving

Works for me if everybody else is all for it. I'd say 24 hours.

I think 12 hours is better - but don't count 12 am - 8 am CT during that time limit.

That's exactly what I was trying to figure out how to say as well-it basically adds up to 24 hours, but not quite.

I am down with going as far as possible and putting other gms on notice for 12 hours, so long as everyone knows the deadline. Or else the deadline will pass and the consensus pick might just be some random person who is just happens be reading the thread.

Not there is anything wrong with that per se, but a group pick would be better since it is the NSBB mock draft.

Because they want to appease their fan base and could use another offensive weapon for (Charlie Frye?), the Cleveland Browns select local product Anthony Gonzalez WR from THE Ohio State University.

I took him in the beginning of the 2nd round.

The first re-do of the Draft

2nd actually, Vance tried to take a CB that had already been selected (McCauley it was, I believe).

Yeah...but I caught my mistake about five minutes after making it.
