The SIU game has gotten stupid. No one can score, no one can pick up a ball, nothing.

It looked like a Rugby game broke out before.

Just imagine how brutal a SIU-Illinois matchup in the next round could have been. First to 40 wins.

I really feel bad for Holy Cross and New Mexico State. If they had been matched up with Virginia and/or Maryland instead of Texas/SIU I think they would have had a significantly better matchup. I might've picked Holy Cross to the Sweet 16 if they were the 13 in that Midwest bracket.

USC/ARk: the one 5-12 game I didn't give 2 seconds to considering an upset in. I saw ark play last week. Ew.

oh god, they switched to the USC game. took all of .3 seconds to hear their stupid fight song thing

what pisses me off is that if we played like we did against Bucknell in the PL final, we definitely could've won that game. Is SIU the best defensive team we played all year? You bet. But does that mean we should be making idiotic turnovers and missing wide open jumpers? Hell no. I mean, our two big guys went a combined 10-13, while the rest of the team, shooting mostly jumpers, went a ridiculously bad 4-29. That's the worst part - knowing we lost to a team we could've beaten if any of our perimeter players had actually showed up. But then again, it's a team I root for in the postseason, so I'm not sure why I ever bothered hoping that they might win.

I gotta imagine my bracket is about to fall apart real soon, or I've got some luck going for me. In the NSBB deal and I'm tied for first, I took about 2 minutes to fill out my bracket, and the only team in the tournament that I had seen play a full game was Wright State.

I'd probably say HC is the best defensive team I've seen this year as well. It was a very hard fought game out there. Ugly, but a gutty game.
