Why does Plesac continually emphasize that we won't have the most team speed, but we'll "have enough?" It seems like he might have been one of the people last year stressing the team speed thing, as in "we'll manufacture runs with our speed." Yet, all we've really done is replace Pierre with Soriano, who had 46 SB's last year. I don't get it: is it the loss of Freddy Bynum that caused this huge drop in speed?

Soriano:

Watches a strike (0-1)

Foul tip (0-2)

Ball low and away (1-2)

Foul liner to left (1-2)

Foul (1-2)

Fouled straight back (1-2)

Ball low and away (1-2)

Ball inside (2-2)

God I hate Plesac

Pulled foul on the ground (2-2)

Popped out to SS.

1 down.

Baxter in RF, Ciriaco at SS, Stansberry at 2B.

This is what I'm going to love this year...even on outs our guys are seeing pitches...Fonzi saw 10 pitches there in that at bat...it was a great at bat no matter what the outcome...I remember entire series where JP didn't see 10 pitches.

i agree

Nah, I don't recall him saying that last year at all. He bemoaned not having enough power. I think it was his way of telling the fans at home not to get too excited by the ST stolen base numbers (because some of those belong to guys that won't go North).

this story about scott eyre is the most boring thing i've ever heard

why is he talking about record players

why is he still talking at all

why why why

He's a little long winded today but Plesac isn't bad. He took Scott Eyre under his wing when he was a young pitcher... he's told this one before.

He mentioned it about 2389407123857 times last year.

Plesac's an idiot.
