Pleasac is convinced we'll be seeing a top flight shortstop this year. He's talking about Izturis.

 

Izturis runs a 3-1 count and watches strike two low and away. Same pitch lets him draw a walk.

Plesac is now talking up Izturis by giving a one minute schpiel on his defense and then tacking on "and he can hit a little bit too" at the end.

Lee swings and misses on a low pitch. Watches a ball inside. Watches a breaking pitch come back inside for a strike. Ball 2 low. Fouls a low and away pitch off. Ball inside.

 

Howry up in the bullpen.

 

Izturis moving on the pitch, Lee pokes one past the SS. Runners on 1st and 3rd, one down.

Sosa started a rally with a single, Kinsler had a bases loaded double that scored all 3 runs, and Young drove Kinsler in. It's 5-4 Cubs over Texas at the end of 2.
