I didn't see this posted anywhere, so:

 

Cubs catcher Michael Barrett plans to make an immediate donation of $50,000 and then contribute $10,000 per home run to a charity started by first baseman Derrek Lee to fight a rare eye disease afflicting Lee's daughter, FOXSports.com has learned.

Barrett will make about 3M post-tax, so if he hits 20 homers, this could end up being about 1/12 of his salary. Thats a pretty significant portion of his income.

Yeah, pretty good. What a nice guy. I'm sure he invests his money wisely. I did the math one time I'm not sure how accurate it is but I estimated if you put your money in a good bank just 1 million would earn you an interest of $50,000 each year.
