I have six Sox tix for each of the three games. I think my prices are fairly reasonable.

In comparison to ebay I agree.

and stubhub....saw some on there for up to $500 a piece for sat....i think i may hang onto mine for a minute and see what kinda price i can bring.

Another factor in selling now vs later is how the team is playing at the time of the series.

For the Sox series, I'm not sure that matters. The only difference might be whether Cub fans or Sox fans are more rabid to get them.

My Sunday tix are currently spoken for. I still have Friday and Saturday Sox tickets for sale.

Why haven't I bought Sox tickets every year?

I just flipped 6 bleacher seats for the Sox game for 600 bucks, and 4 bleacher seats for one of the April Cards game for 320 bucks. Today has been a good day!

And if anyone is interested, I still have 2 tickets for the Saturday Cards game, and 4 for the Sunday Cards game available (all bleachers).

you flipped those sox tix too soon...i'm seeing them going for 150+ a piece...some dude is trying to sell his for 300 a pop...never know, might get it

Really? Wow, I wish I would've known. I looked on Ebay this afternoon before I agreed to the 600 dollar price and didn't see anything competitve to that, so I sold them. Either way, as it stands right now, I made a 700 dollar profit today just by spending about an hour online at work. I fully intend to do the same thing next Saturday when Cardinals tickets go on sale.

While you might have been able to make more, I don't think you messed up at all. You made a quick profit, don't have to worry about Ebay fees, and will likely have the money sooner.

Looks like I'm making the trip in August for the cardinals series. Can't wait! The wife agreed if our friends want to go with us. Now I can only hope we are in contention in August.

If we are out of it by mid Aug, heads will roll.

I imagine ebay has some kind of contractual language with respect to time of delivery expectation on purchased items, but that would probably only be brought up in an extreme case where the seller has greatly exceeded reasonable time lines. It all depends on the buyer, too. If you state they won't be available for delivery until mid-March, then that's the understanding a buyer must assume when committing to the purchase.

That's true. You might choose to wait until the tix are in hand, but you could also put a disclaimer that tix will be mailed when you recieve them and give an estimate of that time. I've bought tickets in that fashion.

I'm thinking I'll eBay my Cards bleacher seats too. I'm sure buyers would appreciate having no shipping costs (because I have them thru e-mail).

I'd sell them now if I were you -- demand is pretty high right now. Just make sure that you note that you don't actually have the tickets yet.

my buddy was telling me that it's actually illegal to sell your tickets on ebay...but he could be wrong...i wouldn't know why it was illegal...any ideas?

Anyone planning on trying to get tickets in Milwaukee this morning?

got 'em - it's April, but if it's cold, they'll close the roof. Got tix to Fri/Sat/Sun games - woo hoo!

It will definitely be better than watching the Chiefs freeze their rears off up in Appleton that weekend :)

Here's the ebay deal...

If you want to sell your tickets now, go right ahead. Just note that you don't have the tickets yet, and you'll send them out when you receive them (usually late March).

Or you can wait and sell them when you get them.

or you can wait until closer to the game (note: this kills you if the cubs are taking a swan dive by then, unless you have White Sox or, to a lesser extent, Cards tickets)

It's all legal, so don't worry about that part. Illinois changed their laws recently in this regard. It used to be illegal to sell for over face value online (unless you were a registered broker), but it is no longer.

i can't wait to get paid off these little jewels...there are two bleachers about to close in 15 min that i'm watching...wanna see what i might be able to get now for them.

Thanks to Vance for picking up the VWR torch for this year.

A note to store away for next year: if you're in a ticketing window and get kicked back to the VWR, hit your back button a bunch and you'll probably get back into the ticketing system.

Another note: all hail me. Extremely hungover, while packing for my flight out of New Orleans, and on my buddy's spyware-riddled laptop on a crappy hotel wireless connection, I still managed to max out my ticket order by 11:25 AM.

I just got Saturday as I'll be making the trip up. Got tickets in loge infield box. I've never sat there before but the view looks pretty good. I hope its warm, I'll be tailgating!

I've had some inquiries on my Sox tix, but I still have some right now. I'm looking to make a little money, unless someone has a place to stay near Wrigley they would offer for four days in late May and a deal might be arranged.

good stuff! we got Field Diamond box seats (section 119 row 5) for friday, then Loge Diamond boxes for Sat/Sun (sect 217 row 3 Sat, sect 218 row 2 Sun) Since we'll be staying, we'll likely bus it to the stadium on Fri and Sat, then drive and park on Sunday (so we can just hop on the interstate after the game's over). Between this and Spring Training, I'm pumped!

The highest offer I've received thus far for the final two tickets I'm trying to sell -- 2 bleacher seats for the Saturday, April 21st Cards game -- is 175 bucks. Unless I get something better over the weekend, I'm going to sell them.

Vance, don't settle for less than double the cost of face value for your Sox tickets.
