Anything the Indians have that the Cubs could use? We could definitely give up a bullpen arm.

I think every reliever the Reds didn't gobble up, the Indians got. IIRC, they signed JoeBo, Fultz, Hernandez, and a few others.

According to ESPN, Hernandez, Foulke, Fultz and Borowski were the extent of their bullpen acquisitions.

I think there is still a need there. They must think so too, or they wouldn't have signed all four.

Now that Foulke is walking away, veteran reliever Joe Borowski is the clear favorite to open the season as the Cleveland closer. Interestingly, Borowski actually had a deal to sign with Philadelphia in the offseason but failed his physical with the Phillies, and settled for a one-year deal with the Indians.

If that's the case, then there's only one word to describe the Indians' closer situation: desperation.

I think the bullpen will be a huge strength for the Indians this year. That just who they added. They still have Rafael Betancourt, Jason Davis, Fausto Carmona, Fernando Cabrera, Edward Mujica and Juan Lara.

Is Keith going to be working at Burger King now?

(inside Red Sox joke)

I'm more embarrassed to walk into this locker room and look at the faces of my teammates than I am to walk out and see Johnny from Burger King booing me.

How do we convince Cleveland to trade Pie + Weurtz + Ohman for Grady Sizemore? :)

You need the address of Mark Shapiro, a bottle of 151, a digital camara, and a goat.

Shoot, if that's all, I'm already half-way there!

Does he still get his guaranteed $$ for the year or did he give it up by retiring?

If he had waited a week, he would have received the full $5M. Instead, he gets nothing.

Classy move by Foulke.

Even waiting a week I don't think he'd get paid by retiring. I think he'd need to be carried on the DL to get paid (like the Orioles did with Albert Belle several years ago when he couldn't play anymore).

How many years do you need to get the full pension and it's perks?

I believe it kicks in at ten years.
