LOL. Whatever. It's 4-6 days. Considering they've probably already checked him out and one would assume nothing is broken, he'll be back early next week.

how does one come up with 4-6 days? it's not like there is a lot of history of others with this injury

i'm guessing bruised ribs is pretty common. Collisions, bean balls and such.

Or, how does one fall out of a hot tub and bruise their ribs? Or, how is someone dumb enough to fall out of a how tub? The Cubs can't afford mats to put around the thing?

I wonder if the press will have pictures of the hot tub on the news? Some of those things can be pretty tricky getting out of but you're right you'd think they would have a nice safe area around it, especially for injured players.

By landing on your pitching arm, which contorts violently into the rib cage. 4-6 days recovery time for the bruised ribs, and a year and a half for the separated shoulder. :D
