now we have that pesky Rutgers team to compete with in NJ. Please go back to sucking again, thanksomuch

Hey I liked it when they sucked too because we used to get quite a few. In 2002 we had 19 Jersey guys and last year we had 2.

1:35 EDT press conference to find out if Arkansas RB Broderick Green will choose Penn State :D , USC :? , or Ohio $tate :x

How many players did you guys get from Jersey?

I'd have to look. First time in forever that we got none from Maryland (got 6 from there last year)

EDIT: According to rivals.com, we have 7 from PA, 2 from MI, 2 from NC, 1 from CA, 2 from DE, 1 from OH, 3 from NY, 1 from IL and 1 from VA.

Shocked that there are none from NJ or MD. Those are usually "pipeline" states for us

Wow...none? I didn't expect that, I thought a couple but none is surprising. I wonder how many ND got? We have 6 possibly 7 from NJ this year but no 4 or more star guys.

I see 2 from NJ for ND so far (at least 1 is an impact player)-I'm not sure if there will be any more.

Really? Those sob's kept a lot of kids home. No wonder why he didn't go to the Hurricanes. Wisconsin is another school that sneaks in there too.

McKnight to USC

I guess USC is trying out the fantasy draft strategy-if they get all the RB's, they'll win for sure-they had 3 backs last year, and now they've added 2 more stars? I don't quite get why every back wants to go and get 5 carries maybe, but I guess we'll have to see how it all works out.

Greg Little switched his commitment from ND to UNC at the last minute, and rumor is that Chris Little switched from ND to Georgia.

We're getting punched in the gut today.

That guy's stats are just hysterical.

2005 - High School Football:

Rushed for 502 yards and nine touchdowns on 36 attempts. As a receiver, he hauled in 20 passes for 497 yards and five scores. On special teams he averaged over 38 yards a kickoff return with 1 TD and averaged 29 yards a punt return with four touchdowns.

That's like 14 yards a carry. It was only in 2-A though. So, his [expletive] stats gotta be viewed in context though.

The things that have been said lately are pretty positive. I don't think it'll be Ohio State - they look to me like the 3rd place team.

Probably the biggest thing PSU has going for it is playing time. After Austin Scott uses up his eligibility next year, there's no logical starter the next year (Kinlaw doesn't look like an every down back). At Ohio State, Chris Wells is going to be starting the next 2 years and Maurice Wells is a good backup, and USC already is loaded in the backfield and has two 5* recruits on the way this year. As long as Green keeps his grades in order and works hard, he'd get a fair amount of playing time this year and then probably start his soph year.

It sounds like George White, MLB from Flint (MI) Carman-Ainsworth HS is forgoing his commitment to Michigan State and is instead signing with Mizzou. According to Rivals he's the 24th best inside linebacker in the nation and the 17th best overall player in Michigan. Very nice job on this one Pinkel.

or as a RS freshman. I don't know the last time someone got full time play at RB younger than a junior. Someone could break all the school records for rushing if they got 4 years of PT

We've still got a load of great 4-star players, not to mention the #1 recruit in the country in Jimmy Clausen, but in just a few days we lost Trattou to that slimeball Urban Meyer and both the Littles, probably falling from a top 5 or 6 class to more like 11 or 12. :?

PSU has 14 guys signed so far, including five 4-star guys. Two big 4-star OL yet to sign, and boy do we need them

Walton has signed... I really would like for Wisniewski's LOI to come in; I think he'll be the best of the bunch.

unless the press conference was delayed, the decision should be made. USC would be a dumb choice for him unless he wants to change position

btw Derwood all LOIs are in except for Wisniewski's... press conference for Green will be underway shortly

you listening on Rivals Radio?

Nope just hitting reload a lot.

A gentleman went up to the podium and said we'll be delayed for about 7 minutes. He said Broderick has narrowed it down to two schools. The reason for the delay was that Broderick was still weighing his options up until 12 p.m. CT and had to go back home to get changed. This could be interesting.

i wonder if the McKnight signing will sway him to our side

College footballs National Signing Day is tomorrow.

How's your team looking?

Now here is rant just waiting to happen, what a waste of newspaper print print showing where kids will go to college. Do we really need to have a "National Signing Day?" why can't a kid choose anytime to pick his college, almost flies in the face of presonal choice. What would happen if one or more of these kids say I don't want to sign now, I haven't decided yet?

haha now everyone on the rivals board is freaking out because the guy there said he was wearing a light blue shirt before and now everyone thinks he went home to put on USC colors... people really get too into this.
