I wish I got either of those channels. I'd love to watch Media Day.

I'll watch what ESPN News shows, because it's the Bears, but media day is pretty worthless. It will be 1,000 people asking Rex why he sucks, and asking other Bears why Rex sucks.

ESPN just had the most quality report on the SB EVAR tonight. They not only pointed out that the Colt defense has been good against the run in the playoffs, but that the Colts and Bears had the same PPG average in the regular season.

That is some breaking news there. They are already out of material.

I hate "Cookie Cutter Interviews"

"We'll try our best. Give it our all"

"________ is a great city."

"________ is a great place to play."

"________ is a great manager."

"________ fans are the best fans ever."

*yawn*

Just thought I'd get that out there.

Colts showing more focus early. They're not arriving in Miami until Monday, have curfews set for every day, and have already gone through their game prep last week.

Bears treating it like a typical SB trip: light practice last week, arriving Sunday, no curfews that I've heard about, and won't start installing their gameplan until after media day (or so I'm hearing).

I think I like the Colts approach better. Some people go to South Beach and never come back.

Not sure if it's been posted yet since I've been out of this thread for a while (if it has been, just ignore it.), but ESPN's bottom line just said that the NFL fined Reggie Bush $5,000 for taunting Urlacher.

Seemed a little excessive to me, but hey, he shouldn't have done it.

Pfff, that wouldn't have dented his pocketbook in college.

If that's true it was not excessive at all. I was surprised a flag wasn't thrown when it happened.

The Bears do have curfews, they reported it on CSN earlier this week.

What's this with all these Chicago writers taking shots at the city and state of Indianapolis and Indiana? Not only are they not funny, but half of them aren't even true! I thought Chicago writers had a little more class than that?

No. They don't.

But their columns aren't meant to be read, so really that's your mistake.

Wow, thats actually pretty lame. All he did was point back.

Who really made a big deal about the taunting? Christ. I mean 5,000 to Reggie Bush is pocket change, but its still pretty ridiculous.

If he had another year of eligibility, he'd be able to go back to college and make up that money in no time.

True-one of them got posted on a message board yesterday that I took a look at (my mistake) and one was in my paper this morning. I guess I'll avoid any more Chicago articles from now on, unless they are talking about the Cubs :D.

Anyone been to Chicago yet and see that "NFC Champs" on the building yet? It looked great. A lot of buildings (Sears Tower, John Hancock) were showing blue and orange light from the top, too.

I was surprised not to see a "Go Bears" sign on that black building.

Echoing what others have said. Many in the Chicago media make their living by pissing off Chicago fans. Not a suprise they're trying to dig at Colts' fans now. It's their way. Just try to ignore them.

Yup.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs06/news/story?id=2746264

A week after Reggie Bush wagged his finger at Brian Urlacher, the NFL wagged back.

The league fined the New Orleans Saints running back $5,000 for taunting Urlacher at the end of his 88-yard touchdown reception in the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 21, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported.

Bush wagged his finger at the trailing Urlacher shortly before crossing the goal line with a somersault jump.

Bush was not penalized by officials on the play and apologized to head coach Sean Payton immediately after the incident.

We'll see how nonchalant Reggie is when they strip the Heisman from his mantle. The innocent, good-guy days of Mr. Bush are about to come to an end. He's was whoring himself out against NCAA rules for his entire college career.

Why the Reggie hate? I hate to break it to you, but he's not the only player in College Football getting paid.

I doubt this will make any difference whatsoever.

Its not so much on when they choose their gameplan, but what they gameplan their plays to be. And we'll see their ability to execute on Sunday.

Yeah, I don't recommend you read the Cubs articles either.

That's actually exactly what I was thinking after I posted that.
