Colts away record:

Jets: 31-28, W
Broncos: 34-31, W
Pats: 27-20, W
Cowboys: 14-21, L
Titans: 17-20, L
Jags: 17-44, L
Texans: 24-27, L
Ravens: 15-6, W

The Colts won't really be "away" and remember, this team has traditionally been incredible on the road. In fact, I'm pretty sure under Dungy, the Colts home and road record is almost identical. I don't know what happened to make us lose 4 in a row like that (and btw, you forgot the Giants game), but it certainly seems to be corrected now, and the Ravens game didn't look anything like the Jags or Texans games, which were simply embarrassing.

Just pointing out that this year, they haven't been as good away from the dome as they are in it.

That is a very valid point-I was just pointing out that they historically have been very good on the road, and this year they were very good on the road (winning at NYG, NYJ, Denver, and NE-all quality teams) before suddenly forgetting how to play on the road for a little while-it seems like just an aberration now though.

Ugh, I'm so jealous. My friend from Miami's roommate works at the Hilton that the Bears are staying at. He's going to let my friend (niether of them are Bears fans, BTW) come to the post-game party at the hotel to "help out."

Lucky bastard. I asked him to grab whatever he could get away with for me.

Gene Wojciechowski wrote an article in September giving 100 predictions for the NFL season, and he's come back and graded them. Some of those were playoff predictions, and he gives himself half credit when he picks the winner, but not the loser correctly. Here is a note that Bears fans may want to pick up on:

2. The Colts will beat the Panthers in Super Bowl XLI (41, for the Roman numeral impaired).

Wrong. I'll explain in a later column.

What does it mean? Gene is going to pick the Bears in whatever column he writes this week after trashing the Bears for the last 7 or 8 weeks. Congratulations on changing his mind!

I don't necessarily think he is going to pick the Bears, despite his "I believe" finale to his previous article. I think leaving the explanation for later means he's actually waiting until the game is over to decide who wins, so that way he can say he was either wrong about the loser (half credit) or wrong about the whole thing.

How does one pronounce Woj-alphabet's name anyway?

I have to say I'm dissapointed in this thread. I expected it to be at 100 by one week, but I'm sure it'll be near 150 when we get near the Super Bowl as the hype constantly builds.

Yeah, just wait until practices and media day and stuff.

Here's a chant two super fan Bears fans were doing at a game I was at 5 years ago when the Bears sucked:

Super Bowl Super Bowl OOO AHH! Super Bowl Super Bowl OOO AHH!

So next year, if Grossman has a very good year, will he still be the worst qb ever in the Super Bowl? If the Bears win the Super Bowl and Grossman plays better than Manning, will he get the respect he deserves?

I really, really hope Rex has his best game of the year then afterwards tells everyone in the media to F off.

Fix'd.

Agreed. We've basically had not too much to talk about, and not too many follow football on an off week. I expect 2x the amount of posts next week as we had this week.

ESPNews will be covering it as well, although I'm sure not as extensively.

I wish I got either of those channels. I'd love to watch Media Day.

What, you mean you don't like the washed out highlights on "BEARZ BLITZ" and other Comcast Sports Net fine programming?

Thanks for the link. I just meant it in the sense that I could've had a copy to be reading tonight and through the week. Now if I decide to buy one it'll be a couple to few days.

I get both here in Champaign, IL. All the Rams coverage is puzzling, considering I don't think most St. Louisians even root for them.

Just wondering, what type of store did you see it in? I wouldn't mind picking one up. Wonder if my local Walgreen's might have one in the magazine section.

It was in a sporting goods store at a mall. I figured that other stores would have one so I passed up on it. By the end of the day I simply didn't want to walk back to the other side of the mall for a copy. For the record, the store had banners, helmets, shirts and all kinds of good SUper Bowl items.
