Mike Patrick - he probably shouldn't be on the list, but I thought he should get an "honorable" mention. His Duke bias is worse than Vitale.

I thought about including him, because I HATED him on Monday Night Football growing up, but for some reason I didn't.

 

There's probably 10 guys in both polls I still forgot- Phil Rogers and Dan McGrath come immediately to mind. Chet Coppock, Dan Patrick, Mike Greenberg...there are too many lousy ones to mention.

All of the above are horrible, making it hard to choose. I voted for McCarver, but also wanted to vote for Bill Walton, Buck and Morgan.

This is really really tough. I'm not sure some of them are really "broadcasters" though...does Mike North or Mike Murphy actually broadcast games? There probably should be a division between "sports broadcasters" and "sports hosts".

 

Buck, North and Morgan are all so painful I can hardly listen to them.

Eh, Madden's not so bad. He's a Captain Obvious, but at least he's a friendly, familiar football voice. I dunno. I just naturally associate his voice with football, so I don't mind him so much.

 

Compared to Mike North, who's just an incompetent blowhard and frequently gets things totally wrong and deliberately misleads and exudes arrogance, I think Madden would be a blessing.

The one thing that keeps North from being completely worthless is that when he's doing an interview, will not shy away from asking a difficult question. Contrast that with Mike Murphy, who brings nothing at all to the table to offset his incompetence.

I threw a vote at Chris Berman. I literally can't watch a baseball or football game when he's in the booth. I can ignore guys like McCarver, Buck or Morgan, but Berman is just too much

As dumb as Cowherd is, I had to vote McCarver here. Of course, I almost voted for Morgan simply based on the fact he actually defined for his viewers what a "shadow" is.
