ND should consider not playing really good teams next year.

Fixed

It will end up getting them in another BCS game in which they will be destroyed by superior teams again.

ND will not make the BCS next year, mark my words. The only reason they did this year was because they had a good offense, and their offense loses a lot next year.

Too bad LSU didn't get to play a real team so that we could get a measure of how good they are.

They played several

Arkansas

Florida

Auburn

So, with LSU blowing out ND and Michigan losing, does LSU have a chance for the #2 ranking?

If Ohio state beats Florida I would say Lsu would get the #2 ranking. If Florida pulls out the upset I would think Osu would be ranked #2 but who knows.

I think he was just making a joke at Notre Dame expense :)

I won't miss Russell. I think either one of the other QB's will be successful.

Be careful what you wish for.

I'm not hoping he'll leave, but I don't care if he does.

I would agree with that. I guess I'm assuming OSU will beat Florida.

I know you don't like him, just saying next year's QB might not be anywhere near as good. JMR has had a great season.

I think OSU will win too but was just stating that for the record.

Yeah, chances are they won't be. Flynn and Perilloux are pretty good though.

"OVER-RATED!"

Notre Dame will lose to USC and UCLA (in Pasadena!) next season.

and at Michigan, and at Penn State.

And will probably have a tough time vs. Georgia Tech, and Boston College.

At least they're actually playing some real teams next year.

They may be a 500 team next season.

To be fair, BC is the only one of those teams (USC, UCLA, Mich, PSU, GT, BC) that they didn't play this year.

Yeah, but you have to figure that UCLA, PSU, and GT (with a real QB) will be much improved in 2007.

It's possible but not likely. A lot depends on how much last year's strong recruiting class can contribute. My guess is that Weis is too good a coach and that they find a way to win 8 games. But next year's schedule has road games with Michigan, Penn State, UCLA and a home game against USC, and all those teams are probably better on paper than ND. BC and GT might be better on paper. So I'll be stunned if they lose fewer than 3 games in 2007.
