Florida's radio announcer needs a kick in the head.

Nah, it's an exciting win for the Gators.

I think the voters are going to pitch Michigan out and send Florida to the title game.

Yes it is.

I'm not so sure about that. I hope this whole thing gets people riled up enough to get a playoff.

Pretty good screen. Not sure I'd be blitzing with a 10 point lead.

Urban Meyer is a douchebag extraordinaire. Ive learned that tonight.

At least he wants a playoff.

who doesn't want a playoff? maybe JoePa?

everyone wants a playoff. me more than ever because it would shut you up about the Big East.

Or you about the Big 10.

It's actually pretty simple. Those who vote in the polls should rank teams based on how good they are, not who should play in what bowl. If people truly felt that Michigan is the second best team in the country, then they deserve to play for the championship.

Voting should ONLY be based on which team is the best. Nothing else.

Not that I'll complain about Michigan not getting the invite. Now I can root for Florida before they get destroyed by Ohio State.

I dont think the coaches care about a rematch. the harris poll is another story. FLorida lost votes last week playing florida state. lets see if they get those people back AND then some.

I really think UM's going to hold on in the computers. Gators fans are going to be incensed.

I'm curious on how many points the Gators get on the computers for a win over a 10-2 team.

On that we can agree. I wish the powers that be would get it.

I dont know. i think UM was 3rd behind USC today. Also UM had the 3 toughest schedule. (at least thats the graphic i saw in the USC/UCLA game)

If the SEC doesn't get their team in this year my money is on them getting this changed.

I really don't know how it will shake out either. I just know you've got UM and UF, and both would appear to have similarly legitimate arguments for the title game, so one is going to be bitterly disappointed.

And that's the BCS. They keep saying "it gets the best 2 teams at the end" but there's always another ballclub or 2 who could easily be considered one of the best 2.

It really just doesn't work. At all.

I think it's going to be close. I think the voters are going to bump them up to #3 and that's going to help them on the computers along with a win over a 10-2 team.

I'd be glad to take my chances, but I don't know why you confine your statement to the Big 10. my arguments with you on this subject are not only about the Big 10. they are about the SEC and the Pac 10. the Big 12 and ACC in most years.

No it doesn't. But on the other hand I don't like 3 or more loss teams getting a shot at the title either.

unless it's a Big East team.

Let's say UF goes to the title game and beats OSU by 3.

Then UM wins their BCS game by 25.

You've got a split championship. Again. Just like with USC & LSU.

So it's pretty clear the BCS doesn't determine anything anyway. It's a waste of everyone's time. But it makes money, so I guess that's all that matters.

What you just don't realize is that the Big East is talented. You just can't discount them out of hand like that. I would agree 2 years ago because the league was in a mess but these teams are all young that are winning and just going to get better and they got better earlier than expected. If the ACC had the same records as the Big East you would have accepted them as being good, as good as the SEC or Big 10. But yet, the Big East has crushed that conference this year but yet is still considered not on par as the Big 10 and SEC? I see a double standard here.

I suspect Michigan will hang on in the computer, but its the polls that worry me. Personally, Arkansas is a singularly unimpressive team IMO - Florida showed me nothing today.

I wouldn't want a 3 or more loss Big East team to get a shot either. The problem with the loss thing is that you would have teams playing a Wisconsin or Auburn like out of conference schedule and that is why I want these teams to play at least 2 BCS conference teams minimum.

Danielson literally begging for voters to vote for Florida was waay out of line for an announcer. A home team announcer i can live with. But a national announcer is pathetic.

what good does that do? you can always line up Kentucky and KState. that proves nothing more than beating SDSU and Bowling Green.

Kentucky and Kansas St are good, there's a difference.

Good's a relative term. They're both in the bottom half of their conference, 6th or 7th. And they were both bottom feeders when they were scheduled.

For as great as the SEC is what is there best non-conference victory this season? Cal I really think part of the SEC's mystique is just that "mystique" They rarely play good non-conference road games. Most of the bowls they play are quasi-home games. I would love to see Florida play Michigan in Chicago on New Years day or LSU vs Penn St in Cleveland.

Truth is Florida is going to pass Michigan. I am not saying its right but it is obvious that a majority of College Football pollsters do not want Michigan in the Title game. Sadly OSU is going to thump them by 3 TDs. Louisville would give OSU a better game.
