regardless of the outcome of this game, anyone that says this Florida team is more deserving of the national championship game than Michigan is on crack.

 

I've said they were over rated all along. Louisville is the team that should be in the game vs Ohio State.

Louisville should sniff the jocks of a second tier big conference school. it has nothing to do with good old boys, it has nothing to do with unfairness. it has to do with refusal to play defense and a style of offense that would not fly in a real conference.

 

Seriously, it's because you give me no good arguement to think other wise. Saying "they suck" really proves so much to me.

 

whatever. you've been given good arguments for 15 weeks now and still live in your fairy tale world.

 

your best argument all year has been that Louisville beat K-state with a backup QB.

Michigan is better than the other loss teams because of why? And...a rematch is relevant. Michigan already lost to Ohio State. OSU has already proved they were better.

I tell you what. If the Big East wants to be considered on the same level as the SEC, Big 10, and Pac 10, then do what everyone has done to raise their level of respect. Start scheduling games against Ohio State. Start scheduling games against USC, Florida, Michigan.

 

Start actually beating the best on a regular basis, and you might get more respect.

 

The Big East is not considered a power conference. The onus is on THEM to prove otherwise, not the rest of the country.

Bill Simmons' latest column was right with regards to modern attitudes of announcers. These guys act like we're watching the game for them rather than for the game itself. There are some times these guys should clam up. My personal favorite is when they start crying about a penalty and the replay shows it was completely justified...so they either have to stand by it and look like tools or go back on it and equally look like tools.

 

My personal favorite moment of that was when Sean Taylor spit on some one last year in the NFL playoffs and got ejected, only it was not clear at first that he hocked a loogy at the guy. Of course, Paul Maguire and Joe Theismann were going ape over him getting kicked out, talking over the ref who explained why he kicked Taylor out, and missing out on the explanation altogether.

or, as I pointed out in a different thread on the same subject, start to play good teams in bowl games, and when you don't get a matchup against a good team from a good conference, maybe you should win the game instead of losing to the Colorado States of the world.

Miami, Kansas St, Maryland, Wake Forrest. It's funny you said "considered" because they were the second ranked conference by Sagrin.

if SEC coaches would preach discipline, they'd have 6 teams in the top 10. but they don't, so you get these fabulous atheletes playing ridiculous games like this one were watching here.
