To celebrate the re-signing of Aramis, I wanted to finally buy his jersey. I mean I should have the jersey of a true Cub.

 

I am in VA and the only jerseys I have ever gotten have been Prior and Wood jerseys in Finish Line and Foot Locker. I wanted to know if you could direct me to the best (and least expensive) vendor from which to order a Cubs Replica (perhaps Authentic) Jersey.

 

I truly hope I posted this in an appropriate forum, and if it is not, I apologize to my fellow posters and the moderators.

That's about $25 cheaper than the official MLB Shop, and you can also get a home jersey with Ramirez's name on the back to match the names returning to the home jerseys in 2007 (the MLB Shop only sells nameless home jerseys at the moment).

 

I ordered my custom jersey from them at about $50 less than the same jersey would have cost me from the MLB Shop, and I can testify they're very reliable when it comes to getting your order out to you.

Also don't forget Ebay. I was able to get a Majestic Sandberg off of there about six months ago for very reasonable, like, $60 I seem to recall.

If you get it off eBay, look at the pictures to make sure it's authentic. I think they say they're all authentic on there, which they aren't.

 

And the replicas look pretty bad, especially the pinstripes.

I've noticed from a few pictures on eBay that there isn't a red border around the blue numbers or the name on the pinstripes.

There are still a lot of "authentic" replicas that do not have the red border around the blue numbers. There's nothing wrong with them -- just cheaper versions of the originals.

While we're on the subject of jerseys, have the Cubs considered going with white on white--no stripes jersey ala the Oakland A's, Detriot Tigers?

I think the Cubs need to have a fresh update this season.

It's too bad they're going back to the names on the home jerseys. I liked the old ones from back in the day, no red outline on the number and no names.

 

But then again, I think they need to scrap the red bills on the away caps and end the practice of wearing alternative jerseys at home.

 

I don't have a problem with the replicas. They're a lot cheaper than the real things, and actually are more comfortable.

Need I gripe once again about the blue alternates? It seems the right thread to do it...

 

I find myself cheering for the rookie pitchers who came up last year who went with the stripes and against those who want to wear blue. As for Z, he can wear pink for all I care. Whatever keeps him tossing gems.

Hello All,

This is by no means a money making idea for me.... I would do it simply as a favor to my fellow cub fans.

 

I'm in the US Air Force and live in South Korea. For those that don't know the Korean people here can make just about anything you desire..

 

I would be more then happy to pick up some jerseys and send them out to anyone that would be interested. It goes without saying that they would NOT be authentic however they would have ALL the tags on them to make them appear authentic. I could do the same with all Bears and Bulls players as well... or any other team/player anyone would want.

 

Ideas of the cost

- All jerseys here sell for $25.00 for each one, unless I buy them in lots of 10 or so...

- It is about $10.00 to mail to the midwest, this is a guess, I have never sent anything to the midwest.

- I have to take public transp. to Seoul to buy the jerseys, about $5.00 round trip.

 

- So I total cost for a jersey would be about $40.00 to mail and everything back to the US to you.

 

As you can see, I'm not making a dime on this, but I don't mind doing it or atleast looking into it for some of you if you like. Again, I can get any year (I'm almost sure of this?) and or any player... I have seen Santo, Banks and Williams downtown also.. I can post some pictures someplace if you would like to check them out... Just trying to save you guys some money if anyone is interested in it...

 

Again, all jerseys would have the authentic Mitchell and Ness (I think M&N) some have Majestic and others have Russel...

i've seen that blue one on ebay before, but i kinda wanted a white one with pinstripes. i may end up settling with the blue one, however. that expos one is pretty sweet, but if i'm getting a dawson sig on a jersey, i feel like it's gotta be a cubs jersey.

Yeah...the Expos is pretty sweet. I'd have the same feeling. I'd want a Cubs, but it would be hard not to go with the Expos jersey.

I stick with the shirts. I have Ramirez, Zambrano, DLee and Barrett shirts. Also a Nomar, but that one doesn't see much action anymore.
