Refs in the ND/Rutgers game have been pretty awful. They've shot 10 free throws to our 1 even though we've been banging it inside most of the game and they've been chucking jumpers. Irish still lead 35-26 at the break.

how does illinois climb back from the calamity that has befallen them this year?

Well you bring in a subpar recruiting class for the 4th year in a row that's how. Oh and don't worry 5 is looking like crap as well.

the only thing i can think of is to fire weber and hire gillespie.

Not gonna happen. Gillespe isn't coming back after the way Guenther treated Self, what with locking him out of his office and what not. I am afraid we are stuck with this dork.

i wouldn't rule it out. gillespie has to understand the situation.

That may be but the damage is done. We are in trouble until at least 2010 with recruiting. This whole we don't need you crap has really worked wonders for us. The guy came off a national championship game and ended up with Chester Frazier, Jamar Smith, and Charles Jackson. Or in other words a nice class for a small conference school.

i'm starting to hear great things about tisdale, and am actually getting excited about the kid. cole notsomuch, but we'll see.

We need guards. I pray that DMAC can start and contribute right away. I fear Tisdale and Cole will both have to redshirt.

Don't sleep on TAMU, guys. I really like them and think they can make a run to the Final-4.

Oh I agree. Law is unreal. Ohio State is pretty good too and everyone is sleeping on them.

I can see OSU leaving early (Sweet 16/Elite 8-ish). Of course I can think of a way any team could be out early, there's no clear cut leader of the pack this year.

They are what 15-1 in the big ten. I love how since you are from the big ten you are the team that will go out early. I think they have grown a lot and will be a very, very tough out.

I don't see where Raisin said because OSU is from the Big Ten they will go out early. He also says he could see ANY team going out early this year.

I was talking more about how everyone has been saying that. Also how weak the Big Ten is even though we could have two 1 seeds.

Ah, ok. All I know is, when the time comes to fill out my bracket, I'm going to have a lot of tough decisions to make.

I'm not saying they won't go far because they're from the Big Ten. (And I'm not even saying they are or are not going to go far. I'm just saying they have deficiencies like all of the higher-seeded tourney teams that could be exploited before the Final Four).

Damn it, the lack of consistency is galling with these referees. They're suddenly calling everything. ND up 57-50 thanks to Rutgers blowing the freebies the refs are giving them.

Cats Win 72-61. 4th place in the Big 12, 10 conf. wins and 21 regular season wins. No team from a major conference that has numbers of 10 conf wins, 20+ wins, and 4th place in the conference has ever been left out of the tourney. Up til this year, that's 169/169 teams that have met that criteria. We'll see what happens.

Following two Arizona free throws, Stanford hits a 3 to tie with 6 seconds left. Arizona misses a shot at the buzzer and we're going to overtime. This would be a huge win for Stanford if they can pull it out.

It'd be swell if Musberger figures out which of the Lopez twins is doing whatever, rather than saying "one of the Lopez twins will take the tip" or "one of the Lopez twins gets the rebound." It's really easy to tell the difference between Brooks and Robin.

Michigan just choked away their NCAA chances against Ohio State with 2 stupid turnovers and a tipped rebound right into the hands of an OSU player that lead to an 8-0 run. Michigan had a 6 point lead with 3:30 left..

And then an 85% FT shooter misses the front end of a 1-and-1 that would have tied the game.

And then OSU misses a 3-pointer and Michigan fails to get the rebound.

Sorry UMF, that was a choke job.

Definitely-2 easy steals for OSU, a missed dunk, a missed 1 and 1, two missed rebounds, 1 that led to an easy fast break for OSU and the other that led to the winning free throws-you don't see too many better examples of choking then that.

And then Stanford turns it over when they had a chance to cut a 4-pt lead to 2 or 1 inside 10 seconds. Arizona wins.

Didn't they hear Musberger? They needed at least a two-ball. You can't just settle for 1 point or 0 in that situation.

Damn, Davidson finishes the half with momentum and a 37-35 lead over College of Charleston. C of C has to cut down on the turnovers if they're going to win. Winner goes dancin'!
